I've had a couple call signs, the most used before this being DeathStorm. ( Given to me by the leader of my first competitive FPS unit I joined after he saw me fight. ) I had one big problem with all the previous call signs I've used though.
They weren't unique, I was one of countless many using those call signs. So that's how I arrived at SeniCuna, as far as I know it's completely unique. ( Unless there is some copy cat out there... In which case they'll quickly be introduced to my love of fire and various methods of torture / execution I think up when bored. )

As far as meaning? It represents me, if that makes any sense. Made by me, meaning essentially " me ", and it seems to have stuck.
I'll hold off going into how I crafted the name, and it has no awesome back story to it beyond what crazy stunts my friends can recall me pulling off. Most people just call me Seni, and I'd like to think the name has a nice ring to it.

Side note, doesn't matter if I'm the first to register to a game or the last, my call sign is always available. =P

Been using Ramius and Hazen since Btech3056 in '92. I needed a name for my character when I started and apparently had some sort of man crush on Captain Ramius from The Hunt for Red October at the time. Hazen was the bloodname I chose when I joined Jade Falcon. However I also had either a spelling deficiency, hooked on phonics failed me or the correct spelling was already taken. So it was actually Rameus Hazen in-game.

I shelved Ramius Hazen in favor of Ricover for a while (another spelling fail derived from Adm Hyman G Rickover.) I had recently heard Gene Hackman say, "Rickover gave me my command, a checklist, a target and a button to push." [No. I have no idea why the love of seamen. But it's not making me look very good.] But I thought Rickover sounded pretty cool. Don't recall the game I was playing at the time where I had stopped and said, "****! I need a name for this guy!" I've always strugged with picking character names. Even in single player games where it couldn't possibly make the slightest difference.

Then O2brutal became my common online moniker shortly after Halo 3 LAN parties where Ramius Hazen was far too long and pretentious and Ricover just meant nothing. And O2brutal still is where Twitter and poker are concerned.

But, with MWO, it seemed clear to me that the Hazen bloodline was long overdue to be restored and who better to lead that charge for me than Ramius? Albeit from the cockpit of a Davion mech but we can't have everything in life now can we?

My handle is the name of my main character on a MMO that I currently play...and it ain't WoW, I won't touch that with a 10-foot pole. I can't remember what my handle was when I played MW3 in the Zone. I can't even remember what the name of my unit was. It was many years ago, the fun of having to choose between food/power and internet.

My sig is what my gf and I say to each other when we pull a brain-dead moment, also to describe our cats.

Djarid were crappy spears thrown by low level mugworts in Asheron's Call... chose it after trying to sign up for Tribes and failing with everything else I could think of. Never had a duplicate since :)

The origins of my name date back to the late 90s. My friends and I had been playing MW2 / MW2 Mercenaries and were into the CCG, but I had always just used my real name in-game when needed. Then we started going to the Wizards of the Coast gaming center here in Seattle, where they had the old BattleTech simulation pods. That was the first time I had to come up with a callsign for something competitive, and wasn't allowed to just use my name (or was encouraged not to)... and since I liked the Warden approach and clan Wolf (from MW2), I went with WardenWolf which has stuck to this day, across almost all the games I have played :)

It's my initials. LL. And makes for an easy callsign.

I like Owls. Simple. Came up with a random name to go on the end.

I can be a bit random :) and I like the intense fighting aspect of mechwarrior so I wanted to show both in my signature. Again pretty simple.

ШАЛУН (Russian, phonetically "Shalune"): roughly translating to rascal or scoundrel

I love Russian. I've learned some, but found this word looking up translations online and liked the way it sounded. It was originally used for a character in an RPG and fit the character. I met several good friends in that game, so they only knew me as "Shalune" I've been using it as my tag in darn near everything since.

And this thread made me realize I have no sig... I will make one. It'll probably involve a clan Storm Crow and Haida art (http://salonunidad.f...aida-salmon.jpg)of a raven. It ties in with the bird theme of Storm Crow and the name since the raven is portrayed as a trickster character in Haida culture.

Mhh... I think the origin of my Nickname was from one of the Virtua Fighter Characters I've seen/read about in a Games Magazine.

Many years later when I got my first iNet I needed a name for an Avatar when joining the Half-Life Chat Servers so I took this one.
( actually made a mistake with an additional letter but it came in quite handy in the past 15 years as I never had any problems using the Nick to get somewhere registered )

The Sig is my country's flag in the shape of it's borders with an embedded Wikipedia Link.

took my IRL full name, pulled out some letters, and made a nice name with them, Why this particular one? well, I liked it the best. The word "Vie" meaning "to strive for superiority" Keeping with this I always aim to improve my skills and be the best I can be. Furthermore, Vieric as a whole name sounds very much like a warriors name, so I found it endearing. In spite of the root word, however I prefer to pronounce it "Vee-Rick". I also feel the need to point out that in spite of the last part of the name, no, my real name is not Eric.

Ferrum Deus is Latin for " lord of steel"
The reason for this name is I'm a machinst/mechanic and engineer by trade. The roman language has fascinated me long before I found MWO and name rolls off the tongue.

My name derives from the ancient Aramaic pronunciation for a Robot that takes performance enhancing drugs and prone to fits of red-eyed rage.
My sig identifies that I'm an evangelistic preacher

Winters Flight is my main hero's name in CoH. I'm horrible at coming up with names and he was an Ice/Archer blaster, so I took two words that reminded me of my powers. Since then it's normally shortened to Winter, but that name is always taken.

My call sign comes from the fact that I own a M3 Halftrack. I use to go by my RPG character names, moved on from doing that.

There are a few fairly simple meanings behind my callsign. Rampaging across the field of battle as an incarnation of the smite hand of the gaming gods feels good, punishing opponents for their misdeeds and lack of proper planning. I prefer that thought but there are other more realistic reasons. Everyone has gaming experiences where they had the shot but miraculously missed, or survived long odds through luck (it's called spray and pray for a reason). Skill matters little against fate, luck, karma, divine intervention, the random choices of the gaming gods, etc. Might as well name myself after the phenomenon that can counter skill any day of the week. I stopped worrying about it and started to enjoy the freak occurances that can happen in-game. I just attribute my winning and losing to either me punishing others by will of the gaming gods, or by angering the gaming gods.

My sig is adapted from Conan the Barbarian because I like the movie, higher powers seemed to save him from time to time as well, and it's factual :D . My normal avatar is an angel in full armor, sword, and shield, because it also suits my name.

Used to play BT with friends before i owned a computer, I think windows 95 had just come out when I got my first PC, and of course i ran out and got Mechwarrior-2 instantly. When I joined up on Mplayer I had to make a call sign and thus "Freebrth" was born (haha pun!). Missing the "i" because it had been taken, and it's been a signature gamer tag of mine since. I've also used "Batousaii", but "Freebrth" is my first tag, and I use it in any Mechwarrior setting :D

Cool on the topic. I get asked alot what "Ducks Guts" means. It is my xbox g-tag and on my license plate (god I'm a nerd) of my truck. Most Australians probably already know. Ever seen the movie MADMAX? lol. The sweet, fast car in the beginning of the movie is nick-named the Duck. It gets totaled, yet, they salvage the last badass V8 interceptor engine (the guts). This engine is put into the killer Ford Monza that MadMax is given. When the mechanic gives it to Max, Max asks where he got the parts to build the car. He simply tells him " Its the Ducks guts Max!"
