I came across a match in which the VIP got stuck early on and thus he was delayed and we eventually lost. He only started moving after I pushed him free.

I have played quite many escort matches so this seems new occurrance from current patch.

The last two enemies were really weak and easy kills, I followed the Atlas but when I killed the last enemy, game ended right there and was declared defeat as the VIP didn't have enough time to reach the dropship. Which hadn't even shown up yet.

Yup, I've had that happen a few times, usually on Crimson.

hm. i wonder how long PGI needs to fix that..,
had that a few times, too, and it makes a crimson escort a drop gamble:
- drop as attacker, almost a save win without doing anything.

Once people become aware of the problem, the short-term sollution should be simple, just check and push him if necessarily.

This happened to me in a match on grim plexus. It got stuck going up the small hill just out of the dropzone(don't remember grid number), game ended in a loss for us defenders. One player pointed out that it may have to do with the engine decoupling from the patch. VIP is slow to begin with so any hill or obstacle would stop it dead in its tracks

I reported a stuck VIP bug a while back. I think it was one patch after escort mode was introduced. It occurred on Frozen City when a friendly mech died immediately in front of the VIP. After about 30 seconds of watching him sit there, I rammed the VIP and he started moving again.

Can confirm that if the attacking team deals no damage to the stuck escort and are wiped out, they win instead of the defenders.
