That event would be seriously biased against newer players, they would not have the 100+ Mechs worth of SP that many of the veteran players have, and also may be lacking the 200+ Mechs that many beta veterans have.

here is a more realistic and less sarcastic option

Have a persional challenge to skill up and use as many Mechs as possible, with prize based on number of fully skilled Mechs to get a kill, win and 300 points in a match ^{(kill, win and 300 points do not all have to be in a single match)}

for the basic prize you need 2 full skill wins, with additional prizes for all owned Mechs, 4, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200 and a grand prize for the top 5 on a leaderboard for each weight class.
