Is there a penalty for breaking a current Merc contract? Meaning do you have to wait a certain time period before taking another contract? Or is there a C-bill penalty on the next contract, or how does it work?

Thanks in advance!

I don't believe you can break a contract as a merc...at least I don't see a button to do it. I think they updated the rules recently that prevents you from leaving one merc unit and then immediately joining another. Think you have to finish out your contract first before you can join a unit that is in another faction...or something like that. Could be wrong and I am sure someone will have the patience to read the last few patch notes to check it out and correct me. Thanks in advance you MechWarrior nerds:)

Pat is correct. You need to finish every merc contract. But they are only 1 week so it's not that big a deal.

Excellent. Thank you very much. I was uncertain if I could remove my unit from a contract, and switch faction to another. It's only another 3 days, so we'll enjoy it. :)

Thanks!

From what I hear the punishment is a flogging with a wet noodle from Kanye West.
