as the topic suggests these are my first impressions also LRMs seam alot more powerful now they can really chew you out faster then usual(could be just me)

Lights are awesome. Our light team (Javelin, Arctic Cheetah, Locust) was the game winning factor in over 20 matches yesterday.
I drove the ACH and constantly over 350 damage and at least 1-2 kills.
Of course lights need to be skilled to their advantage (hide, be fast, be agile, JJs if you have them).
If you want to skill a tank or a laser sniper out of a light, you are doing it wrong mate.

tottaly agree about the lights boost needed.
here I can say bout SPIDER 5K
before the patch i can have
seismic sensor radar deprivation and mb sensor range or info gathering also UAV and ARTY
but still it was modules separated form skills
after patch I must to choose - the seismic sensor + radar deprivation + info gathering along the way together, or the other movement skills or heat management or the consumables slots!!!!!
I need to choose between mech skills fire power and the info tech
so what should I do? it looks like a huge nerf to light mechs especially underperforming lights that stays alive only bcoz of boost
spider 5 k underpowered a lot, compared to the clan lights - its a trash and cant sand in the line.
anyway yeah you can pilot it, yeah you get used to it - as I do - but its not the answer - spider 5k way outgunned and now it loses its only 1 quirk that makes it viable.
all I'm sayn that need to give that quirk bigger value - now its 20 - lets say 35+ will do fine.
also mb ACCEL DECEL quirk.

The Spider was not the best light against Clans before the patch and it is not after the patch. Actually if you skill Sensors, Agility and Lasers, it is pretty much the same as before. You just cannot invest into the armor tree and expect it to tank anything, because a 10% bonus to nothing is still not much
