Currently I'm driving a Highlander HGN-IIC-CC and a Supernova Boiler and I've noticed that if another mech so much as taps me in the Highlander one leg will turn yellow, that doesn't happen in the Supernova. This is not a huge problem I am just curious as to why this is.

Shape of the mech. It does a very, very tiny amount of damage when you collide with another mech, but it depends a lot on the shape of the mech and how you collide with them, as mech:mech collision is extremely primitive (it's not a matter of visuals).

But even when you take damage, it's extremely minor.
