I just read a topic on Steam where a few people say the VIP is moving differently aka WORSE than before May 16.

This true?

Did no PGI employee skill out the VIP with Armor, Agility, Operations and Sensor Nodes? Those are the only trees he needs them from.

He got stuck on a map with us the other day, he got legged (by a friendly mind you) and then got stuck on a pebble of steel.

We killed the enemy 12-3 and then lost because Captain Cantaloupe couldn't make it to the drop point in time.

Escort: How's That Vip Moving?

Like a redheaded step child political appointee, with little or no real direction, full of hesitation and can't make up it's mind.

Tho I did have have a supervisor like that once.

Does the Peter principal apply to VIP's in general and our Mech VIPs in particular?

A ComStar desk jockey 'REMF' I'll bet.

I think the VIP escort should've read my Skill Tree guide. He'd of known to invest more in the mobility tree to compensate for his low agility and speed! Maybe some survival too. I think he just put all his points in Firepower and Operations!

Had a game last night where the VIP got stuck climbing a small hill and simply stopped. Was there about 9 minutes. Enemy team killed all of us and had 2 mechs left (both side torso'd clan, so they were slow) and they managed to get the VIP with 2 min left and killed it with 30 sec left. Was pathetic. Would have won if the VIP had moved at even half speed.

Why couldn't the Atlas cross the road?

The pebble of steel tripped up its thigh.

I'll let you know when there's enough silly people to pick this stupid game mode.

It should be one of the better game modes but ...

It's the standard PGI deployment method. Release a new feat and wait a long time before improving it so everyone hates it and gets used to not voting for it, even if it does get fixed.

----

p.s. Why aren't people picking incursion, it's not so bad. I suspect for the common pug it's too complex?!

Yep, VIP is getting stuck a lot more now it sounds like (even without suffering any team damage at all).

Well all I know is I saw the VIP kinda moonwalk..

His feet were moving in full steps, but he was moving just barely.. It was almost like he was walking in place, but still moving very very slowly..

I've actually posted a short story which explains why the VIP Atlas behaves as it does.. In it, the VIP is piloted by a 10yo kid.. so that explains it.. a scared child that only knows how to do basic throttle up and turn left/right is behind the controls :P

i suspect it's because the "panick button" works too well when you're losing.

getting smashed? just peel off 2 lights to take out the opfor base in 15 secs.

if they're not spotted on the way, or if help isn't expedient, which is frequently the case in qp (can someone go back and def? you? or you? or should it be me? great. you're going. nvm you're too banged up, i think i'll go inste- oh we lost), no one can react in time to prevent the loss.

I found the pilot(s) of the VIP Atlas and a PGI employee at the end tries to explain.
