I'm all for it, as long as you can get a kilt on your mech.

I have drop decks, I'd buy like 12 of them... On all the mechs i bought Tartan camo for.

Kilt Most Damage Done. =)

Fun fact... A full Scottish kilt requires as much as 9 yards of tartan fabric. While this is NOT the origin of the phrase "the whole nine yards", it IS the approximate height of a Commando class battlemech!

Think of the Commando. Give it a bagpipe war horn. =)

Fun Fact...

While war pipes are traditionally considered both Irish and Scottish in nature, they were introduced to the region by invading Roman Legions. The instrument evolved through ancient Greece and Rome from an even older design originating in Egypt.

So pilots of many nationalities will wish to fork over precious MC for a bagpipe warhorn!

Fun fact...

It is a misconception that the Acts of Proscription under George II forbade the use of the Scottish bagpipe. Rather it was the loss of clan power that twilighted their use for a number of decades... until regiments drawn from the Highlands became a much sought after commodity in the 18th and 19th centuries. Then the piper was heard on all the battlefields of the age, up until World War I itself when higher casualty rates dispersed the fighting formations.

But a battlemech is a far superior fighting platform from which to proudly play... a bagpipe war horn!

I would go for that. A little fragment of Amazing Grace, perhaps? If it isn't copyrighted.

Amazing Grace and Cadence to Arms are both public domain, sure. Spicy McHaggis Jig... not so much. =P

Fun fact...

Anecdotes from troops fighting in WW1 claimed that on humid mornings, the regimental bagpipes could be heard as far as 10 miles distant.

But even if a Bagpipe Warhorn were made for MWO, it wouldn't be the first time the piper's call has been heard off the surface of earth. In 2015, astronaut Kjell Lindgren played the pipes for a fallen comrade while aboard the International Space Station.

Surely the armies of the Inner Sphere are not to be outdone? We need a Bagpipe Warhorn!

Fun fact...

The Army School of Bagpipe Music and Highland Drumming, located in Edinburgh, offers four courses on piping to military personnel spanning 57 weeks in total.

Combined with four years of battlemech training, this would make for a formidable opponent... if issued a Bagpipe War Horn. =)

I could go for this. Especially if the shot down 'mech with bag pipes continues a mournful deflating note for say...the entire rest of the game lol.

Does a Commando fight commando? With it all hanging out?

Fun fact: If this had a poll to vote for a bagpipe warhorn, I would vote in support of such a thing.

When I like your post, I like your idea, not that 3 years of begging weren't sufficient yet.

So, yeah, I'm still waiting for that myself... I wanna charge into battle with my Highlander and Highlander IIC pipes-a-blazin'! :D
