The map is so anti JJ, it is not even funny. Every month I get to hear someone got stuck in the wall of that map while jumping around. I recently experienced that myself.

Spawned at F10, tried to jump over towards F9 instead of going around the hill, and got myself promptly stuck on the side of the hill. Can't move, JJ is not charging, and all around screwed.

Sent support the issue, and hope PGI can clean it up. Hills around whole map seem to be bunch of buggy mess. Posted Image

We can't complain.

With the heavy rate that PGI's mapmakers have been churning out new maps for MWO, it's unreasonable to expect that they should also have to spend time going back to old maps to remove the bugs.

The Velcro wall is my favorite glitch...when it happens to someone else. The outcrop on Hellbore to the right of the gun is particularly hilarious when an enemy jumper gets glued there and is then forced to play the part of a piñata or eject. There are others on Vitric as well and there used to be on Crimson but I haven't seen that one in a while.

But yeah. Grim. Not just plexus but portico as well...especially out side the gates. Lots of Velcro and glue to be found.
At least they got rid of the fall through the world glitch in the frozen lake between the gates. That one was always an unpleasant surprise..."GA! Space quicksand!"

Crimson still has a few jump/leg traps and so does river city.
Terra has a few "leg eating" slopes too.
Most of this should be on pgi's radar for at least a year.

Yeah Crimson in particular needs attention - being seeing a lot of posts recently about the VIP getting stuck on escort quite regularly. There are a few larger buildings with spire structure at the centre top where lights seem to get stuck regularly.

I have a large time feeling sympathy though - its usually when they are pulling cheese moves to spot and stay outside the torso pitch range of most heavier mechs.

That may be more due to 'skill nodes' than maps.

I learned a long time ago Lights and Mediums with 4+ jets are best especially for jumping over stuff at spawn.
Never heard of or gotten stuck, worst was when I tried using a 2 JJ CTF-3D to cross a spawn block.

Had a teammate in a Cheetah get stuck while jumping in J5 spawn. The walls are sticky.

The worst thing about getting stuck on the walls on grim is that youll take significant dmg of sometimes 5 % to the legs.

But thats been around for as long as that map exists. Like forever.

I got stuck in a huntsman at the spawn trying to jump over cliffs. I got reported and flamed pretty bad , oh well.

Jumping on Grim Plexus rocks.

I can leap over the starting wall in my Viper, and the second I crest the hill and start to descend it will shoot me hundreds of meters into the air like I activated a super jump cheat code.

Then I float for a while with no control and crash back down to earth obliterating my poor mechs legs.

Highly recommended if you need a good wtf moment to start your match and you like playing with scraps of armor left on your legs.

yes i realised on many maps (even vitric forge) some weird overhand at the tops started to make any mechs JJ's impossible to get ontop that previously had to "wall rub" themselves up with JJ's. This kinda realyl sucks as it took away many mechs ability to reahc some higher ground and made JJ's even less a proper choice. Especially on hevaies this was very visible.

Well they do need to fix Grim Plexus with all those spots where that one gray rock texture changes to the dark blue depending on how you move, happens in every spot that gray rock is in.

At least you can try to jump to some high ground unlike Forest Colony that tempts you to try a few spots only to say, "Nah!" with a snarky laugh.

Yeah, I remember multiple occasions of getting my Spider sucked into walls on GP. Must be made of 'mech-scale flypaper.

i see a lot of wasted opportunity in some of the high areas that look like they should be accessible by jj, but result in stuck mechs and salt instead. i like high ground scenarios and the potential for fatal fall damage.

Watched someone get stuck on a small stair in Crimson Strait.... I hope it was reported...
