slight problem

I have 382 HXP left on my linebacker but it looks like I can only add XP in 800 xp/hxp/gxp increments

so I cant figure out how to use up this 382 HXP

any ideas?

Upper right hand corner of the Skill Tree UI, right under where it says 'add SP'

The title of the area reads: Historic XP to Transfer

type in the desired HXP to transfer to current XP, hit transfer; the amount doesn't matter.

Always amazes me how many times people overlook obvious stuff. Remember the days when people would explore their UIs to figure out how to work stuff?

HXP specifically can be used on any mech variant within that chassis, and is pooled in that way to start. HSP is specific to a particular mech. HXP I think also requires the spending of cbills to convert into SP.

So for example I might have 91 HSP for a KDK 3, but only 30 something HSP for a KDK1, I can access the HXP pool for all kodiak variants to give any one more SP in that case buying the extra 60 odd SP for the KDK1 to fill the gap.

You mean like the respec button? Yeah that one didn't bite back.

Yes, it does if you have at least 800 HXP you can convert it to SP the same way you can EXP. The issue the OP has is that he has less than 800 HXP and no way to use it.

The correct answer as stated above is to transfer the HXP to EXP for a specific chassis through the UI. Once that is done it will be in your normal EXP pool and once you play the mech and make up the difference you can again spend it along with c-bills to buy SP.

Ah I see, yes that is a good point, apologies I missed that.

That is not correct. You can only spend on the specific variant. If you had 2 KDK-3 for instance.

That damn button.

Thank god my first and LAST experience with that button was on a mech with 600,000+ HXP that I had to transfer 36,000 of to reskill the whole mech.

I don't blame Dave for not seeing the subtle bar for HXP transfer, it isn't like this came with a tutorial or anything.

My second issue, after the respec button was how to get more SP, I knew you could unlock more skill points with cBills and XP but I didn't know how, so I had been using my GSP for everything. After a while I found the right side of the SP add and used a few cBills and XP when to save some of my GSP to fully master new mechs.

Well to be fair it's not obvious what it's for - I only figured it out today because you can't click on the HXP section to open a dialog - which is what I was expecting, instead you have to type into a box and then press the 'transfer' button
