TL;DR I propose an game mode that basscialy lasts forever.
An 8v8 battle with infinte respawns, where if any1 chooses to leave then another player is added.
After each 'death' rewards are awarded as normal but increase the longer u participate (participate does not = survive (to stop afkers)).
A vote to boot should be added to help deal with bots, and other unsavory people.
The type of match it could be set in would not be just a skrmish, but a base vs base conflict with bonus objects that give bonuses to each team during the fight.
Such as:
- Radio communication towers that give Lance leader controled air drops with ammo, minor repair kits, and consumables.
- Control points with a sonar like sensor tower to give pulses of sensor information within a given area.(pulses so as not to be easily held by LRM boats)
- Forward assault bases with non-weapon defence turrets such as AMS and ECM,along with destroyable walls for cover.
For example the 'normal' spawn zone would be in the base mech hanger with a faster respawn timer after death, but should a team have their base crippled and occupied then you respawn via dropship outside the base with increased CD respawn time.
There would be a base structure to allow mech swaping (not necceserily load out changes), re-arming stations, even a repair station (though maybe just Armor repairs not structure, weapon replacments, or extremity replacments like arms). These structures could be 'crippled to disable them.
Every 3rd 'death' would give an automatic chance to change mech so as to give a team who has lost control of their base a chance to take it back by changing their team mech composition.
The longer a team holds certain map features the more bonus rewards they get when the leave or get killed.
The idea of this mode is not to make it the best mode for farming CBills or even exp, but rather a mode that is slightly less efficent in obtaining rewards to normal matches (unless u particapate exceptionaly well) but allows players to simple play MWO constantly, and have fun.
It alows group dynamics and synergy to change, if 8 players dont work well together they each will likely leave or get booted by the team at some point and new players join; shortly after such a game mode is introduced most ongoing matches should have relatively balanced teams.
This would help stop the situations currently present in solo queue where one side steam rolls the other simply due to one team synergising well with each other compared to the other side that does not.
Im sure PGI (if they ever read this) will think of some way in which this would harm their income (and thus not impliment it), however any such issue can simply be balanced, if they think players will earn currency to fast in this mode vs currently and as such be less inclined to buy MC, then lower the rewards.
Again this mode is purely for fun, a mode that allows people to just PLAY, no waiting on queues, no suffering bad groups, or unbalanced mech compositions, or even unbalanced player skill, eventualy in such a game mode both teams should even out and a good back and forth battle can happen. If any1 here ever played Vanilla/TBC WoW, think oldschool Alteric valley, multi hour battle with back and forth pushes.
