Seriously, how awkward it is that my huge Executioner flying at full MASC speed can't squash smaller mechs? Should be like hitting something with 95 ton hammer. And head on? Probably Freight train vs Mini Cooper area.

I want ramming/melee combat/ Death from Above mechanics in this game. No idea how are they gonna implement it in a balanced way though

I would love ramming and give me a purpose to run my linebackers into enemy mechs and laugh while doing it.

And that's why it won't come back ever - ram trolls.

It's not trolling if they're standing in the way. Posted Image

Before PGI removed ramming, the standard tactic for a team to deal with light mechs scouting was to have a fast medium/heavy tackle it. Upon being tackled the medium/heavy mech would back up and everyone on that side would shoot it until it died. This was extremely frustrating for new players and light mech pilots doing their role as a scout.

I don't know why they removed DFAs though because they were fairly rare due to hit box size for the head. In the thousands of drops I did in my A1 Cat, I can count on one hand how many people I killed with a DFA. It was 1 and it was to an enemy Dragon. Posted Image

Knockdown is never gonna be back, but I do want to see stronger ramming damage. For immersion. Just pray the puglets learn to stay clear of their teammates after crashing into each other several times.

Im sorry mate but I have to strongly disagree with you.

I recieve leg damage in over half of my pub matches because people always seem to run into legs at the start or sit right behind you when your busy poking away.

When I am in a light mech its really horrible.

That's because current collision damage is negligible, which results in players' carelessness when moving around. If collision damage is buffed, then players would become more careful.

Immersion is what I care about. Other players' failures, not so much.
