Just wanted to say **** YOU Piranha for such a ******* bad matchmaker!
There are a lot of things that don´t work right in MWO and somewhat I´ve learned to get used to it.
Like the UI right out of hell, especially that Quick Play Button you have to hover over and dare you to do it not right or to fast and you will have to do it again and again to make your choice.
Or the fact that after dozens of patches there is still no tonnage shown on the quick info window when you hover over a mech in your mechbay. I guess players just have to know the tonnage of each mech they have.
Or that there are no new maps at all. Instead we get new game modes with mechanics that can be broken easily by just pushing over the whole map.
Or those hilarious long loading screens at the beginning and ending of a match. Sometimes the loading screens take longer than the match itself! And i mean EVERY loading screen. Even those you get when you check your faction stats and you have to wait way more than just a short moment untill you get the information.
Or that the whole game gets locked once you get into the quick play queue and you don´t even get a chance to check your chats.
And i can continue this list for more characters than i may use and i got all used to it somehow because - lucky you piranha - only you got the license for Mechwarrior. And i´ve never before blamed the matchmaker for a bad game or for loosing a game.
But this time i´m way more than upset or annoyed or angry like i´ve been times before when i encountered some bugs or player unfriendly things (e.g. that Quick Play button). Hell, i´m pissed, because i lost more than 15 minutes of my life due to a huge pile of ******** coding. It´s one thing to match kinda uneven teams because there´s always some chance to win if you put enough efford in it. BUT TWELVE PUGS AGAINST A WHOLE UNIT OF TWELVE PLAYERS...WTF IS JUST WRONG WITH YOU?
That´s just like saying, hey you guys, who pay our salaries, you know what, we just give a **** about you. We don´t even care if you enjoy the game, just buy mechpacks and colours and decals and all that other useless stuff that has no impact on the gameplay.
I would´ve liked to write the first sentence into the topic title but i really was afraid that you would erase my post within a second.

Factionplay doesnt have a matchmaker, but i understand the frustration. Ive been arguing for either a matchmaker or a dedicated solo que in fw for a while now.
Pgi wont listen though.

Part of learning to play... requires you to want to know how things work.
When people don't do teamwork in a heavily teamwork oriented game, bad things happen. Just saying.

*something something drop with a team*
*something something there are plenty out there*
*something something read this*
Alright, check this out.
For 3 years, we've been repeating ourselves trying to tell you all...
Faction Warfare/Community Warfare is meant for team play.
If you drop alone, you will die as 12 solos to a premade team, guaranteed.
So...to solve your issues of encountering better hostile forces who are grouped up...
...
...
...group up.
Join or drop with a team.
Really...problem solved. Please drop with a team. It isn't really any more complex than that...

People want to keep farming potato teams in faction play so it'll never be competive for anyone. Your only options is to stop playing or join teams to farm potatoes in the hopes they stop playing.

Aww man. I was hoping for a replay of one of those awesome games where you drop solo and someone types, 'Aww, a unit, we're hosed'. or something similar, and then like, four people respond, 'So what? we got this." and then keep talking and working together and end up overrunning the enemy's drop zone.
Man, I love those games.
Oh, by the by, @op, there is no matchmaker in CW.

After all these years, the complaining has finally convinced me; I too want to drop in the one place that is set up for units and coordination, teamwork and socialising.....and do none of that ****. Let me drop 4 mechs and derp so ******* hard and treat everyone like really noisy AI and work with only myself doing potatoe things to other people (who must also do potatoe things) and units (including my own, **** THOSE guys) can just go do something else. Cater to me, not in solo queue though, I can only have fun if I'm ruining a mode for someone else.

There are a lot of things you can blame PGI for in Faction Play, the matchmaking isn't one of them unless we are discussing why new players have access to it.
I never thought having to defend units and groups existance in a game mode revolving around units conquering planets in groups would be so exausting.
For that matter why a game mode that's suppose to be full of units formed into groups coordinating in a environment with no matchmaker makes people think it's something they can easily solo queue.
Actually there is one thing I'll blame PGI for in this topic. WHY DOES THE WELCOME MESSAGE ONLY POPUP ONCE? Obviously people like the OP never bothered to read it and need constant reminders of what actual environment they are CHOOSING to enter.

Or when they say "Awww, a Unit" and 2-6 disconnect "mysteriously".
Funny how they complain about farming seal and yet DC when they see a fight or DC when they cannot farm.

OP, we're sorry you're not enjoying your FW experience. I can see that you're new here, so there are a few things you should probably know about FW (and MW:O in general) before you allow yourself to be upset like this.
First of all, there is no functional matchmaker in FW. Nothing at all to separate brand new players from the organized groups of T1s. Basically, when you decided to join FW to try to learn how to play, you jumped into the deep end of the pool. Not that Quick Play is any better....it doesn't have a matchmaker either, even though they want you to believe it does.
PGI set FW up this way on purpose. Right now, the only people actually spending real money on this game are the organized units. FW was designed for them. We, the solo players, are simply OPFOR for them.
I would not suggest you join a group just now, however, because you decided to go Clan. There aren't any good Clan units that will take a new potato like yourself. I suggest you go IS first, THEN find yourself a unit. There are a lot more units on that side than ours.
