Nothing chaps me more than some little frigging mech blocking me. the bigger the mech, the more of an issue it is, because the smaller mechs just turn, move, twist, ext and get going again.. Large mechs just get stuck and can do nothing about it.

So what if PUSH, or Slide was added.

Bigger the mech, the faster the PUSH/SLIDE, Engine size would increase/decrease this speed.

No issue with KD direction and such, just slides the mech along the ground as you power through..

Mechs with hand actuators should be able to lift smaller mechs over their heads, a la SubZero's Fatality from Mortal Kombat II or something.

That would be cool.

Knockback has my support as well. A Locust shouldn't be able to completely stop an Assault mech from knocking it aside. A stagger mechanic would add more immersion.

We simply need knockdown. Problem solved.

In before the Goons shove paul's catapult out of bounds until he explodes and Youtube video.

Easily remedied by cooldown on the stagger. 5-10 second window should do it. ;)

2 Urbie turrets on top of a King Crab.

KCG has big enough claws to handle an Urbie, and a flat enough back to carry them.

Now everyone can fire on the same enemy without any firing lines blocked.

We tried this with one Urbie remember, it was lagged as hell and then caused a complete game mis-synchronization where you were left behind despite appearing to be still on my KCrab. Super weird !

OP, I've had this way too many times.

There's always that one match where you find a great place to snipe and low and behold someone with medium lasers has been hired to perform the dance disco of a lifetime. Barging them out the way would be perfect.

Not only that, you get brainsync. It's when you and that muppet have perfect sync. You move left, and so do they, you move back, and so do they.

I think brawling is the worst as skinny medium mechs wade in to steal kills I have worked on by just barging/JJeting ahead of me. And then the brainsync starts so you can't fire anything.

Even more annoying is when an enemy mech that's too small to shoot hugs you. They might take a point of damage for the collision but who cares, you cannot be shot. Just keep hugging that leg.

I don't think they can solve this problem with this game engine. Even rubbing against terrain is extremely dangerous (especially with jumpjets, I've been stuck in silly places), it just doesn't know how to handle it.

PGI need to fix these, so that we can stack Urbie! That will then pave the way for the bigger mech to barge those little mechs out of the way before the muppet brainsync takes place...

Unfortunately, PGI's frankencode and general net code prohibits this. I honestly believe it's something they want to bring back, except, maybe, Paul, but can't due to the hard technical problems it'd create. They're having trouble with something as apparently simple as IK.

The akward mech slide seems to be the fix. Its alot better than it used to be for mech collisions. They improved it two patchs ago. Its way better than it used to be espcially on enemy mechs. Enemy mechs would run into me on purpose stall my movement than somehow teleport behind me.

Trust me its much better than it used to be.
