The title pretty much says it all: what would you go for on an assault dakka (kdk-3 with 4 c-uacs10) as far as regards the movement skill tree side? Torso movement side or leg movement side?
Thanks for thoughts

I'd take torso movement, as that's where my guns are.

I took the entire movement tree and my Atlas still handles like garbage
But the torso movement is probably more important, makes it a little bit easier to twist and spread damage, i don't know.

Torso movement is very much so more important but you want to pick up kinetic burst and hard brakes where you can on mechs like the KDK 3, as it makes peeking over hills/around corners that much more responsive.

If you have really garbage base movement taking mobility is just a waste of points better spent on weapons, cooling, or survival.
You really need at least 20+KPH accel and deccel and over 70 degrees of torso movement speed before putting points in is really beneficial IMO.

Yeah, the way percentages work, the less you have, the MORE you need - the less you get.

Disagree entirely. Most of my low agility mechs are unplayable without taking full mobility. After taking the tree, they still aren't great but they then have at least usable levels of agility and it makes a huge difference.
In fact, Agility is one tree I usually don't skimp on. About the only mech I have found that doesn't absolutely need the Agility tree is a Linebacker. With that mech you can skip the Agility tree entirely but if you do spec agility, my god is that mech just crazy as far as its mobility goes. Honestly I can't make up my mind about the Agility tree on that mech. Now I am sure there are other mechs in the same boat but for 90% of all mechs, Agility is a key tree.

How low mobility are you talking here? Like 95 ton mech mobility or 100 ton mobility that is less than half of a 95 tonner's mobility that getting the full mobility tree on still doesn't bring you close to an unupgraded 95 ton mobility?
