Clan mechs are terrible, you have to buy a skin to make them not silver. Being in a silver mech is at least -35% rate of fire and armour capacity. Almost as bad as basic green IS mechs! You dont even want to know what the neg quirks associated with basic green are!Posted Image

I remember some arguing FOR pay to win on this forum. Its a nice change of tune.

But go ahead stay on that easy mode teat as long as possible.

Had to know if 1337 Locust pilot is serious... :D

On one hand, can take IS uber armor/strucutre/dps mechs and simply press forward to win
On the other... takes locust and causes as much enemy potato team damage as back stab kills.

It's a Davion, soon they'll be too busy fighting steiners over who has the better hair, and we know Davions stole their plot armor from ancient anime on terra.

Just doing the light mech achievement and 70 mill to go for 1 billion credits. Locust is a versatile light mech.

I suppose its the assault achievement next.

More on topic, looking forward to this months update notes after such an amazing update last month.

I know, right? It's hard to tell sometimes where the Gyrok of it all begins and the satire ends.

The post was mostly written as satire anyway...in case you somehow also missed that.

Hey, somebody has to balance out the salt, right?

Generally that is the duty of the game devs, accomplished through communication and active consideration of player input.

June's Patch notes:

PGI: "Blah blah changes blah blah feedback blah blah balance blah blah blah... <actual content irrelevant>."

Gyrok: "ZOMFG! Clan nerfed again! It's inconceivable! IS OP! Range so long they shoot me before I even enter match! Thank heavens we superior Clan pilots retain our two chief weapons of surprise, fear, and a ruthless efficiency!"

Clans have not always been OP. There were several times the IS was much stronger.

I think by several you mean once. There was a minor period where it was split down the middle (pre-ACH days essentially), but other than that Clans have dominated since release except for the period after the rebalance (Dec, 2015) and before the Kodiak release (May, 2016 release, C-Bills wasn't until Sep, 2016).

You're not wrong, but Russ puts a foot in his mouth whenever he attempts to communicate with us*, Tina is simply a paid moderator and Paul... is in a dungeon somewhere torturing IS Light Mechs right now. At least he's moved on from Dragon Bowling, mostly... Posted Image

*Probably as a result of his inebriated state. When sober, from what I've been told, he's actually a really cool and social guy if a bit of a poor speaker at times. I'd like to talk with him, 1 on 1 someday and actually get to understand his perspective on things.

Nah, Paul is busy plotting revenge against the mechs that killed him during his last foray into the game, namely, the MAD-IIC and the Night Gyr.
