I am loving every minute of it thus far. Cant wait for the full release, and probably wont play much MWO outside of events or friends asking me to join them maybe. I am admitted not very good at MWO, even worse in groups, tunnel vision from too much quickplay. I've had fun dominating, barely winning, and even losing in Battletech, which I can't say for 70% of my MWO matches.

it did not take long to get used to the control schemes and I am realy looking fowards to multiplayer.
the Mechs all (yes including Locust, Urby and commando) feel pretty durable, even the Locust often suvives a point blank Alpha strike from a heavy or assault, and Atlas v Atlas can last 10+ turns (minimum of about 5 if one gets lucky)

A lot of neat things you can do currently in the game as things aren't locked down if you know where to look.
Like dropping 4 Quad AC20 Locusts against 4 Atlai...

while I do not doubt they are planning on other expansions I doubt they have done much with them as yet, the game will not even be properly released for a few months.
I would rather see a 3039 update before 3050, there is no reason they could not (assuming the game is sucessful) do updates for all the major time periods so 3025 (4th sucession war, 3039 (war of), 3050 (clan invasion), 3057 (refusal war, liao+Marak v Davion, operation bulldog), 3062 (fedcom civil war), 3068 (word of blake jhad, maybe with an additional 3070s update), and maybe even 32nd and 33rd century updates
I know any real expansion pack/sequal would be a while off but would it not be great if they allowed you to bring your existing unit from this game, Mechs pilots and all into the expansion pack/sequal assuming there is one.

75t mech like charger but with 14.5t armor instead of 10 and 7t weapons instead of 2.5
add only flammer, small laser and machine guns and go meele.... totaly stun locks a target

Urbie (moving and engaging) goes between the legs of a fallen mech, then lands a stomp right between the legs.

Was mistaken - (didn't read all the developer notes) - hardpoints will restrict abuse of game mechanics like excessive melee with tons of Support Weapons (SL; Flammer, MGs)
PvP will also be able to be restricted to Stock Only.
I just found something different - different weapon manufacturers and types for each weapon class - and each gun behave different.
More damage - less accurate
Less damage - more crit
Normal damage - more instability on target
...
...
this is promissing (seems like HBS tries to avoid some flaws that plague MWO, while others would never be a big issue)
