Still better than having pugs dropping against premades, getting stomped, and losing interest in playing the game.

Yeah I agree, it was actually better. The unit queue had a significant quality increase for those few days the system ran.

I'm all for it, just don't expect the non-unit queue to be functional.

One thing to look at, I think we had a total of 99 players in the event as Freelancer would that be enough or would the que be crazy long like last time.

99 players playing in 3 regions and x time zones would mean you will find a match once in a blue moon.

Mathematics of the small size of the freelancer playerbase > dream of a functioning freelancer queue

Sorry to help kill your dream OP...but the numbers don't lie here.

The only thing that could make the freelancer queue work would be me and other FW vets starting (or putting in) Alt accounts as freelancers....for giggles....but that wouldn't make that queue very new player friendly

I managed to get a drop as a Freelancer yesterday. Will try again today. I like the freelancer option as it is true mercenary style
and technically allows for a more casual approach to FP. From what I can tell so far it needs to be able to put you in a queue tho.
Hoping for the red button to light up kinda sucks. Imo it could be the best choice for casual players as you don't have to choose a side not knowing which side is currently in need of fillers.
However with the player base as it is I don't believe a dedicated freelancer queue is viable. Just give us better odds to fill in.
