Please lower penalty now.

If I am mad and want to F up someone, I shoot them in the back for 75 damage to strip weapons and won't trigger a penalty. *keh keh keh*

However, when I am able to drop 2 air strikes with a team of potatoes, I am able to wrack up 150+ non-malicious damage as they run past the red smoke to get face alpha'd by the 3-4 mechs on the other side of the ridge I am targeting.

This happens to everyone at least once...


Just learn when you to use strikes and when not too. Right before a brawl starts is a terrible time and yea it sucks the team ran through it but its half the battle with them, not hitting your team.

I am on penalty 4 right now
I have never had a 20 minute penalty before.

For a mere 4 skill points, you to can easily trigger a penalty from dumb team mates

Trigger discipline is the responsibility of the person pulling the trigger.

Yep. And while it sucks to get team damage because the team ran into the air/arty strike the fact is you should have put it out far enough they wouldn't get hit.

Right... I'll just go back in time and unfire the airstrike, because I gave you the benefit of the doubt that you are smart enough to not run onto it after the fact.

You're only supposed to use artillery on enemies that are outside of walking distance. Never drop artillery on a position you can walk into before it starts falling. It's a rule everyone needs to learn.

I remember placing an Air Stike in the middle of 4 enemy mechs that were focusing on a friendly light mech. Only the friendly mech got hit and died. Talk about rotten luck.

A certain team mate of mine hit just about every single one of us one time, killed NO ONE but did a whopping 300 some dmg to our backs.

Was quite a fight with zero rear armor and just a shred of internals lol.

Perhaps PGI flagged your account for excessive team damage inflicted on purpose to permanently reduce your damage threshold for penalties. Just a thought.

so basically youre mad because youre bad at using strikes ?

but rather than learning to get better with them, your sense of entitlement expects PGI to remove penalties so you can continue playing at your lower level of skill that involves nuking your own teammates.

Well, I was once in a game where there were 4 teammates and yours truly remaining against one open CT direwolf. As we were about to charge around a corner and zerg him, I thought i'd drop a strike at his feet. I instead dropped the strike against 4 pixels of protruding metal right in front of my face.

Quad kill with one strike, and I also removed all my own weapons. There's stupid, and then there's murder an entire lance of allies stupid. I can't remember what the timeout was, but I managed to travel the world and sire many children in my downtime.

I took off the double Arty on anything that isnt super fast or doesnt have ECM. Sneaky Lights and Mediums can get 2 good Arty strikes out. Anything larger can use the points in another part of the Skill Tree. If you are in front brawling, 2 UAVs would be better. That way your LRM potatoes can hit something because they arent getting their own targets.

Just make sure you only drop Arties and Airs on enemies that your allies can't run into.

Or told people you were dropping arty there over the voip so as to warn them from going too close to the smoke. And the best time to use arty is when there's exposed structure for the damage to blow off the component areas completely. At least once a game session my arty removes a valuable component from an enemy. And once every couple sessions that component loss kill the enemy (whether it be the remaining leg, the ST of an IS mech with an XL engine, or an ammo explosion).

Please stop dropping airstrikes on your teammates ... now.
If anything team damage penalty should be increased tenfold.

Next time I see you on my team I'm just shooting through you since you will always walk into my fire and since I can't unfire Gauss/PPCs you will enjoy the benefits of your own fubar reasoning.

Alternatively, just don't use arty.

I don't use any consumables, and I do just fine.
