Hi didn't really know, where to place this, cause their isn't really a bug report area.
So messing with my new Atlas I bought, and I noticed something weird with the Artemis and Endo-Steel. When I placed Artemis up first it cost only 250,000 C-Bills fro the convert, and if I add in my Endo Steel, it adds in 1,000,000 C-Bills to the Cost, so overall 1,250,000 C-Bills.
If I do the Opposite though, (Activate Endo Steel, then activate Artemis), the Price is Incredibly Higher, having Endo still being 1M, but instead of Artemis being only 250K, it turns Artemis into 1.25M, making the Total Payment 2.25M.
Is this a Bug from the Patch, or is this how the system suppose to work?

Is Artemis And Endo-Steel Suppose To Act Like This?

Did you change the number of missile launchers you have or their type?
Keep in mind, the upgrade to Artemis doesn't cost much, but in doing so it must replace standard launchers with Artemis launchers.
This is probably the origin of the costs.

I think it maybe just a small Bug.
I made my checks with my Roughneck and my Shadowhawk along with my Atlas, it seems that Artemis adds Any Upgrade Changes to the Cost of the Artemis until, the Changes are Saved.
Say I added Endo Steel, on my Atlas, the cost is 1M, it then Adds that 1M to the Artemis making it 1.25M. If I remove Double Heat Sink off my Roughneck, which costs 750K, That 750K makes the Artemis upgrade 1M flat. But once you saved the Upgrade Changes without activating Artemis, Artemis Returns back to 250K.
Don't know if that is Intentional Programming for the Artemis or just a weird bug that is easily overlooked.

Not a bug, but a silly feature. It's because of missiless, and it's probably been there since forever.
The missiles you have loaded on the Atlas, get converted, unless you have a enough of artemis / non-artemis missiles in stock. If you convert the missiles, you will just lose cbills. Converting artemis missiles into non-artemis will cost as much as buying non-artemis missiles, but you will lose the artemis missiles since they got converted. Does that make any sense? Nope. If I recall, converting non-artemis missiless into artemis missiless, will cost you less extra than the other way, but you still lose value from the conversion, compared to removing them and possibly buying new type of missiles.
So if you want to switch artemis or non-artemis, remove the missiles first. If you have enough missiles of new type in stock, it will use them, without conversion.
Hmm Im not sure about if this is the same thing you are referring to, as the endo upgrade should not be involved in any way. I'll check when I have the game open next time. But the above is still valid, don't let the game convert the missiles.

Let me see if some images might help what I am asking.
This is the prices on my Roughneck 1A, that I kept in Stock Build without removing Ammo, As you can see, Artemis cost only 250k even with the Ammo on.
But if you activate a Upgrade without Saving the changes first, The Artemis Prices turns out like this
Overall you can see that it is the "Cost to Convert Ammo" is Adding the other Upgrades onto the Artemis. I am not changing anything except for the Upgrades not adding ammo or anything and this is happening to All my mechs that can activate Artemis
I am just curious if this is an Intentional Feature, if this is a New bug from the Patch, or if this was a Old Bug that PGI hasn't Fixed.

Very well documented and explained, Arthur.
Yes, I'd say this must be a bug, and it should be fixed.
Fortunately, it has a workaround that can be used if you notice in time.
note to self: only change to artemis when doing absolutely nothing else.

I was confused as first, but finally understood it. So yes it's a display bug, show on small the popup window.
Other upgrades, when you examine their costs, will always display the cost of that indivudual upgrade, even when you have several upgrades selected.
But the bug is not in the price of actual upgrade. The actual price above the "save" button will be correct, no matter in what order you select the upgrades.

It is true, the Save button keeps the actual Prices in checkand places the RIght Price even if the Artemis says it is expensive. But the Visual Bug can be a inconvenience by blocking you from clicking Artemis if you don't click it first or save first. Making you think you don't have enough.
