Hello,

How did the supernova fare with the skill tree? Is it worth buying? The boiler looks more than decent but I'm more interested in the cbill variants atm.

Thoughts, suggestions? Is it the snv-C variant that makes a case for running a standard engine?

Ps I'm off to bed soon but hope to read some suggestions in the morning.

Errr... they forgot to post the announcement again?

Seriously?!

I see no Supernova for Cbills announcement.. and it should be today.. is it for cbills in the game?

Why is Smurfy not working?

I just checked this too - it's heckin' dead, and there's no posts about it anywhere, the warring reddits are silent.

I wanted to PM the creator, but I can't remember his details

Not in game currently but the faq says 6th of June so I'm assuming so?

Edit I was messing around with builds in awemech, mobile app.

The one with CERLL range quirk can have one of the longest laser range sniper build. I'd at least give it a try in CW. Boiler has ballistics for decent PPFLD build, but MCII will most likely surpass it.

I remember when i used to run TC7 on ERLLs on my TBR, 814m Effective range lol. 936.1m now with max range nodes. :P

Yes, the skill tree is favoring Clan weapons in terms of range, due to its multiplicative nature. My Clan mechs are not complaining though. :D

I stopped using C-ERLLs though cause of the duration, and realistically 814m is just too far to my usual engagement range. So i switched to C-LPLs, that mighty range is still a god damn boon.

I like the SNV-C, with a pair of LPL super high mounted in each side torso. Excels at using high cover, but you have to be very deliberate hill peeking since it's not nimble at all. Lots of Firepower and Ops, with Survival and some Aux.

It was like 5 A.M. their time when you posted... it is not still not even 8 AM there as we speak so they aren't at work yet.

The SVN-C is going to be good thanks to the 4 high mounts (4 cLPL or 4 cERPPC, competes with the Warhawk). Whereas the SVN-1 is a solid mixture between the Whale and the MAD-IIC, probably going to be what people use for assault laser vomit once the MAD-IIC gets overnerfed.

SNV-1 is already better than the MAD-IIC IMO. Its just that no one seems to run them so its flying under PGIs nerfdar.

It isn't, the speed advantage and slight mount advantage it has makes the MAD-IIC better.

I like mine. :)

Got 4 variants, one all Laser vomit, another 2XUAC10's and2X Large ER Lasers an all the double sinks t help keep it cool. As for my MAD II's One is a Missile boat, which out of all my mechs total, only 2 are setup as a missile boat.

I been making the Boiler work well for me and actually prefer it over the Scorch at this point, really.

There isn't one with a range quirk. Only a duration quirk.
