Hey all,
I tried hunting around Google for the answer to this question, but wasn't able to turn up anything obvious.
I'm wondering if anyone's done research on the effect of AMS Overload on the AMS system? It states in the Skill Tree that it increases the damage by 1.25 per node, which of course is very different than increasing the damage by 1.25/s per node, which is what it claims on the AMS stat popup window after you've equipped it.
Has anyone figured out yet which is actually true?

Yeah the increase from 105 dps to 108, really doesn't seem of value, its probably broke.

it is currently broken due to being dps instead of damage since the skill tree patch.
same goes for firerate quirks (ams and normal) which actualy dont work right now too.
it once was +60% damage before the skill tree which actualy helped alot. now it just sucks as a skill whise and is not worth taking.

There is a post somewhere either on the forums or on reddit that compared AMS effectiveness with and without skills. Bottom line is the skills massively improved AMS even if the stats don't seem impressive.
If you're using AMS and putting points in the survival tree, there is no reason not to get these skills.

MS did some tests post skill tree on AMS and the skill nodes do help noticeably.

That always used to be the bonus to damage -per bullet-. LRM/SRM hit points? Who knows.

Then it must mean the displayed improvement in mechlab is wrong, as that improvement is so minor. But it would make sense, as the old module was pretty strong and improved damage per AMS shot a lot.
