Eg, recently saw a Catapult emptying his LRMs at a NARCed Arctic Cheetah. He did some damage at first, but the ACH quickly hid behind some hard cover.
...and the Catapult continued firing until the NARC wore off, even after I repeatedly told him to stop firing because he wasn't doing any damage (turns out lurmers can't read).
The Catapult then ran out of ammo and hid while the rest of the team died, finishing the battle with zero damage taken.
Another time, I was taking on multiple heavies and assaults in my Banshee, while a LRM boating Shadow Cat hid behind me.
Not only did the Shadow Cat fail to shoot his LRMs at any of the targets I was lighting up (instead preferring to shot his LRMs into canyon walls while trying to hit other targets) or provide any kind of useful distraction, he repeatedly blocked my movement and fired his LRMs into my backside.
Now, I see non-LRM players do some stupid stuff too, but the worst of it comes from LRM boats. Due to LRMs being the 'noob tube' of MWO, they naturally attract the 'less intelligent' players.
Lol that Catapult.
I hate it when i see LRM-boats with no backup weapon. Jesus 6x LRM5 or 4x LRM15A MDD, 4x LRM15 Awesome, 4x LRM15 Mauler, 3x LRM10A Centurion WITH XL-engine. 6x LRM15 Catapult, LRM75A Highlander or Spirit Bear... etc. Those potato lurm-boats really make me cringe.
That **** is why i hybridize; just some fluff LRMs on basic Dakka-Vomit. I wanna bring LRMs, while not being helpless.
My current venture is: EBJ-B Fire Support - UAC10 [180] + 2x LRM10A [720] + 3x ERML, 15 DHS, and because of the 1014 damage done is a lot more meaningful than when done from a 6x LRM5 Mad-Dog/Catapult.
