Wait...
Did you move the Urbie K9s lasers to its side torso?
Wasn't it originally supposed to have 2 CT energy?

Eh, it's probably for the better, though.

I saw someone ask about how to lights work so here's the answer!

You can turn the lights on and that very sound you hear in the video activates at the same time. (default key is L which you can change in settings too)
The sirens sound does not loop continuously forever however, it only loops once upon activation (just like you hear it the first time in the video) once the sound is done it goes silent, but the lights continue flashing until you turn them off by pressing the same key again.
You can turn the lights on and off as often as you want though and it will sound every time they activate.

Also there's that big red flashing button light inside the cockpit when they are on! Example is on 0:51 in the video!

And yes it's my voice, I was inspired by the Need For Speed trailers with their voices on radios but I couldn't stop giggling when we were recording the chase down the street. That speed difference!! Was a lot of fun making this and really happy you guys enjoyed it too!

And now, for the first time in MWO history, there is an macro that actually gives a substantial advantage.

Already make my Lights and Siren macro, so I can turn my lights on and have the siren go continuously. Will need timing adjustment, but that can be done on the 20th.

Excellent.

eeh no, i havent. the only IS orion that got played in the last 30 matches i was in was mine, it has been weeks since i saw an IS hunchback and the jenners? not seen one of the IS ones in moths, they could just as well delete them completely - no one would notice.

Oxide gets played and I see quite a few orions since the new skill tree. Not seen many Hunchbacks myself but the B33F is using one quite a lot in the group queue.

Incoming macros to keep it looping constantly.

The UrbanMech would NEVER be rendered useless/underpowered/undergunned by the IIC version coming along. To give you an idea, I.S. Drop Decks can't use Clan Mechs. Further, there are people who would rather use an I.S. version instead of a Clan version. Haven't you noticed the long line of Orions, HunchBacks, and Jenners that are ALL Inner Sphere, and yet they're still used? If anything, the Urbie would enjoy having Clanner competition, as there would likely be variant designs that would only exist in the Inner Sphere, and designs that merely are found to be flipped in the Clans. ~D. V. "If anything, the Clans will likely be the underpowered/undergunned/useless ones." Devnull

I think he knows that Clamz + Urbie = real imbalance in game play.

IS players would be forced to take Urbies just to have a hope of competing with the 3xUrbie IIc + KDK 3 meta...

ridicule it all you want, but its a fact that the IIC versions get played way more than their older counterparts. the old ones are only piloted by lunatics like me who either like a bit of nostalgia despite all the disadvantages or like a challenge.

I would *never* ridicule other IIc versions that would be rendered obsolete by the introduction of the Urbie IIc... no sense in kicking a mech when its down... Posted Image

As if someone in Clan Mechs would be dumb enough to underton their Drop Deck that severely... Get a clue, because they would NOT! Also, I haven't seen KDKs in Faction Warfare in some time. No, you might see only one UM-IIC in a drop deck. Any more than that would be insanity, so there will NEVER be a 3x UM-IIC Meta. Also, see? Non-IIC Versions still get good use, and every IIC that exists has it's role and tonnage on the battlefield, so you'll NEVER see other IICs go into disuse, and you'll NEVER see Non-IICs go into disuse either! <_<

Wow... You've had some awkward luck to not see an even mix of both IIC and Non-IIC versions of Mech Chassis. Doesn't matter how many matches I've played, I keep seeing Non-IIC Hunchback/Jenner/Orion/Highlander just as much as I see their IIC Counterparts!

Looks like I'll be wearing out my "L" button rather quickly...

I hope this gets adressed as soon as you sold enough to the "target group" of this "well thought out feature".

Yeah, that "Light & Sound Spam" could be a nightmare. Also, why couldn't it just be wired like the Weapon Doors or Kodiak Claws, which default to "/"? Are we about to have HeadLights in the game? I don't think my "L" key is even wired to anything by default! :(

Now that I've caught up with all the annoying back log of posts I had not read... I'm looking at the lack of additional preview videos and wallpapers, and feeling a little sad. We have no extra Video Launch Stories to go with the other 9 Resistance Heroes, and missing WallPaper for three of them. Of further particular note is the unfortunate appearance that PGI hates a part of Official BattleTech Weaponry -- LRMs -- as I see none fired in any of the posted images. We could use a 50-meter (albeit a boost of 60 meters would be nice) buff to LRM Baseline Range, if there is to be any Support Justice provided to the Resistance Heroes in general to counter Snipers whose shots don't blow up at the Range Limit like LRMs do. -_-

There might not actually be space right down the middle to put two lasers, so they've had to offset them to almost be on the side torso. From memory, the CT hitbox on an urbie is actually kinda big and where the lasers are seems to be right on the edge of that. We'll see in a week

Once I know the timing, I'll post it.

Just need send an L press, then to cycle pressing L twice every time SirenDuration elapses. A nice toggle to turn it on and off and Bob's your uncle. Really simple macro, so I'll post it right away =)

Uhhh so not sure if anyone has mentioned this yet but why in the heck is the Gauss UNDER the arm on the Grasshopper?? Is there any reason why it couldn't be in the side mount???? Its like unnecessarily gimping it by making it the lowest hardpoint on the mech.

Edit: Black Knight too? Man...

Grashopper/Black Knight twin PPC one Gauss meta incoming! Especially with Light engines in July! Oh boy :/!

Maybe on the GHR, but honestly non PPC-Gauss loadouts got buffed more by the skill tree.

Also... that Gauss mount on the GHR is weak.

Yeah, I mean either way the mechs aren't going to be meta gods or anything, but for people like me who like to play a variety of mechs, its simply a quality of life thing.

visually they appear to be about the same as on the r63. TBH, I'm not concerned, either way, more curious than anything. That physical location is actually better and higher than a true CT mount would have been

Thanks for the clarification, the video and your teams work in general. not even sure i could have managed to record my voice if i had known where the trailer was going with the speed difference Posted Image

btw: what was the default key L used for atm? you cant see diddly in the https://mwomercs.com...ide/game-manual
