FFS, do some of you have *any* sense of self-awareness?

The cringe-factor is real.

Last time a Tina voice pack got brought up, things got creepy and gross real fast, so I'm against it just to spite those people.

For some reason I'm now imagining a voice pack that just turns your mech into the stealth suit from New Vegas. I'd pay for that.

THAT DAMN WITCH OF A SUIT NEVER SHUT THE HELL UP!!!

Could a "Get in le sarcle, peezzz~" get me to turn it back on????????

so much possibilities...

I'll be honest -

I thinks voice pack in Tinas voice would be cool. It's a bit of a meta humor thing. Whatever anyone's opinion on MWO, PGI has made their make on the IP. Be it the Roughneck (which is a gorgeous and fun mech) or the artwork and audio (the audio quality on MWO is amazing. The different sounds of each mech are distinctive and cool) and even the maps, which for better or worse will be part of how people think about Battletech for another decade at least, PGI has put their mark on BT. Come on, Sarah's Jenner? That was amazing.

Having Tina do a voice pack would be part of that. A fun connection to the community manager and the Urbie that is, in it's funny way, a sort of in joke between PGI and our inbred little community.

I'd pay $5 for that. No few others would too I'm sure. It'd not intended to be creepy, more like a fun in joke between Tina/PGI and the community.

I'd still pay good money for a Russ Bullock "Just........ MEDIOCRE." warhorn. Also Beef's "FACETHESTORM!!!!"

The mediocre warhorn could be solid for April fools 2018. Just sayin...

Sign me up for that.

Actually, wouldn't war horns just be a sound sample stored in a PAK file somewhere?

Couldn't we make our own?

Y'know, it's funny that people wouldn't blink an eye if people asked for a BB-wolfe voicepack. Tina is a grown woman, not some underage girl. Why do people insist on shaming the voice of a grown woman? Do you think Tina should be ashamed of her voice? BB and Tina both have distinct voices in opposite ways.

You guys need to lighten up. People complaining about it remind me of the same people who claim that all anime is for child predators. Tell me again how my 10 year old niece who loves anime is a child predator? Am I a child predator for watching it with her so I can relate to her with it? Lighten up people, your prudishness is so outdated.

You chose THAT argument to use against ME? Have you even seen what I post here? 99% of what I post is extremely cringe-y (I assume, since I'm already too far gone) anime images/gifs. I know the difference between weirdness and creepiness. And the last time I personally saw a thread like this, it turned creepy. Like, high schooler hitting on their mom's best friend creepy.

But hey, maybe those people have left, or are willing to not share their comments on it any more. If so, great! Just don't say I didn't warn you if some people start making really gross comments again about the whole thing. Because the entire reason I'm not neutral on the whole thing is because I'd have to see that stuff again.

I, for one, am in general in favor of non-game effecting cosmetics and doodads. Sound packs included. One of the best parts of Forsaken (the game is so old, the title has caught up to it's state - think of Descent (which is even older) but on bikes and with treasure hunters.) was picking your computer's voice.

You had something clean and proper, dark and brooding, our outright childish - "Whooo, SUSS GUN!" - and it really made it feel more like "your bike".

I'd rather have a Catapult Commander add on.

Yep. An all too infrequent highlight, and full kudos to PGI for doing it. I wish they'd be more human more often.

To be fair, half of the people are not even on topic to shift the topic to gross or perverted. The other half... Let's just say half of them don't even c9mprehend the difference between physics sound and the voice pack that I am proposing.

Having been MIA for most of the time that Tina was a proper presence I'm curious what a good example to listen to to get a feel for her voice would be.

Listened to NGNG devs and beers thing with her and it seemed pretty cringey but I'm willing to buy that it was a bad example.

Still I think sound packs in general would be a good move. The BEEF and PanzierMagier come to mind immediately as good in community picks for that.

BEEF vs Magier as the voices of Clan Commander and IS Commander, respectively, with Bitchin Tina combat computer. Make it so! (better have some cameo from Duncan Fisher....)

Me too. The j7r-D(S) and Collector Urbie are some of the few and far examples of pgi not taking themselves serious and just having some fun with the community although in the first instance there was nothing funny about Sarah. Her mech at least has a unicorn, rainbow, teddy bear, and stripes from what I could see. I don't have the collector urbie so I can't show its details. Yes I did add the javelin's hero name decal because it's fun. Javelin hero could also be added to the fun mech skins list.

just imagining the BEEF as Clan Commander "YOU HAVE FAILED!"

with Panzer Magier sounding all aristocratic "Hark, charge of the Light Brigade! Tally Ho, Soldiers, stop those Clan villains from deflowering any more of the Inner Sphere!"

And my Combat Computer goes..... *in Tinavoice* "All systems nominal...beepboop!"
