I've noticed lately a lot of weapon damage based events...I feel like if they are going to do these kinds of events PGI should include some way to actually keep track of the damage we are doing in a way thats not updated every hour. Even if its something as simple as giving us a breakdown per game what weapons did what damage to get your total damage done.

End game stats help a lot if one pays attention to it.

Just go to your profile and look under "Weapon Stats", it's all listed right there.
If before you play a game, you have 5,000 in PPC damage and after a game you have 5,300 in damage, you know you did 300 that game.

And how does exactly end-game stats help you determine how much damage each of your weapons did? ... I mean for you it might be one and same with total damage since your builds are usually 80LRMs+TAG, but it doesn't work like that for everyone. For one paying so much attention you've clearly missed the entire point OP was making.

IMO the best way would be to build a mech that only has the weapon you are aiming to do the mini-event for. If you need small lasers for example either a Nova or a Firestarter with 12 and 8 SLs accordingly would work just fine. Since you need small laser damage you will be engaging at the ranges of ~100m, thus there is no point in bringing anything with greater ranges anyway.

1. Oh look, it is Phoenix being salty about repeatedly dying to my lurms again. My builds do not exceed LRM45, but since your salty arse thinks I carry LRM80 it just proves how deadly my lurms are.
2. If OP is not boating the required weapon for the event, he is doing it wrong. Which means my point of looking at end match stats is relevant.

If he's not boating the weapons for the event, I assume he's playing one of his regular builds, in which case: Just keep playing it for a bit and you'll get the required damage without needing to think about it.

Seriously, don't you think it is time to let go of it, boy? Let it go, let it go~~
Oh wow much amaze. Not only you are ignorant and clueless, but also a liar and not a very good one at that. So sorry bro, I don't play during Mongolian prime time, so I am neither in any of your matches, nor am I able to observe how you farm your match score on tier 5 potatoes filling your games due to the lack of players in said timezone. But please, carry on, I'm sure you are too busy lurming to actually read the topic you are replying to. Or even the very first post of it.

FYI, the only one who is able to see any kind of logical link between the two is you. Which kinda hints at the fact that there is no connection between what you've said, and what you are trying to imply you've said.

Okay, well I guess thats fair. The way to alleviate the confusion would be to boat this one specific weapon. I also dont really want to purposefully gimp myself by making it so i ONLY have that one weapon, so like with the small laser thing I was using my SLAS and my machine guns on my raven. On my wifes acct for the PPC challenge I was using her linebacker with 2 ppcs and 2 S-SRM4's. To ignore those weapons would make me less effective.
