Is it possible for an AMS to kill a mech?
I just got out of a match where, near the end, I was dueling with a Shadow Cat. At one point I had fired a some small pulse at him and turned away. He then fired some SRM's at me and my AMS activated. shortly after he died and I was credited the kill.
Now it's possible my shot might have hit some ammo in his CT but it looked for all the world like the AMS did it. Is that possible?

Well, it does have damage, but it probably works directly on missiles.
He could overheat, take heat dpamage and then you ram into him and collision damage?

They used to but after kitfox sneaks making triple ams kills behind missile boats they kind of changed to way ams works XD

Ironically, AMS is actually useful as a makeshift MG of sorts in TT, although with virtually zero range. Laser AMS is similar.
