All you guys crying about the laser nerfs, just remember, that we are getting new laser types soon.. Heavy lasers, micro lasers, and ER mediums and smalls for IS..

So they have to nerf things to put all those in, cose' otherwise, it would be a massive powercreep.. this way, only a new option

No. The new weapons should complement the old weapons. Not replace them. Nerfing the old weapons so no one uses them, and just switches over to the new ones... what is the point?

Nerf SPL, buff lrm and ams. Sounds like Lights are no longer wanted and yet another play style disappears.

They can try but my lights run on salt.

Optional Mandatory C-bill sink. That's all (if you're looking for serious content, look elsewhere).

Yup. And when many of these values get switched around again (I am guessing in November or December, maybe even as late as January) those changes too will have absolutely nothing to do with balance, but everything to do with encouraging you to spend some cash on switching out of all that new tech you bought in July and August because it will not be so OP...thanks too yet another "balance" effort by PGI.

RIP game, then

Also, *Too

PGI should have learned by now balancing by Potato doesn't end well

Resort too grammars {Godwin's Law} huh, be running out of meaningful gripes you must.....if you ever had them.

As far as RIP, please let it do so. That way we do not have to read your tripe.

Potatoes on the whole are rather well liked and plentiful. Might not be a bad idea to balance by them as no one really likes or cares about the 1% or those whose delusions have put them there. Not to mention that pleasing the masses will pay better.

To be honest I do not care one way or another about weapon tweaks anymore. I just find the Sky is Falling crowd to be amusing as they clamber to create as many threads about the same topic in a vain attempt to get their own way again. I am optimistic that PGI has seen the error in caving to those people though and will continue to develop the game rather than letting it stew in the tears of the ungrateful and unwashed.

Godwins Law is a rather amusing replacement for the other N world. Did not realize that was so offensive lol.

Heh, I cannot even argue with that. I have always found it useful if you could get more than 1 person to run it. Now that it pays you see more people willing to run it which is rather noticeable.

Who says they will. I am optimistic that they will simply have different strengths and weaknesses to make them a choice rather than clear this is better as the CSPL was.

Things had to be nerfed to keep the power creep in check. Why not wait till we see the actual values of the new tech before you (or others if I misunderstood you) start claiming that the new tech is replacing the old and making it obsolete. (which honestly it is supposed to).

I personally would like to see some repair costs in game. Break the tech up into three tiers. Introductory Tech (no repair cost), Advanced tech (10% repair cost) and Experimental Tech (20% repair cost) but only for equipment that actually suffered a critical hit.

It will never happen though.

In order to make great tech primarily available to players who either roll in C-Bills already or are willing to pay some good cash? For real?

Since I am a player myself, I think players can provide quite useful feedback and good insights that could help a developer.

However, one cannot forget that among players there are also those that said the game they are playing wouldn't survive Closed Beta, Open Beta, Release Day, Hawken Release, Titan Fall Release or whatever. (And you can find that in every game. STO should be long dead by now, killed by TOR, STar Citizen, Elite Dangerous, No Man's Sky, its latest update and whatever else you can come up with.)

Friendly advice:

You got a game you really love playing, but get angry all the time about balance changes and they make you want to quit?

Stop playing for 2 years to play some game on the greener side, and then come back. You'll be a lot more relaxed.

At least worked for me in regards to Star Trek Online and Mechwarrior Online. :P

I mean, you've failed to provide a single meaningful argument, aside from wanting to keep poor balance by ignoring people who understand how the game works

Your poor grammar on top of it all is just a highlight.
