Unless they alter quirks before the new tech comes out a triple UAC-2 Dragon will be putting out north of 20 max DPS per second.

The jam chance is only 8.25% with a duration of say 3.46 seconds so average dps is still very high. This is greater than the most powerful King Crab and Mauler dakka builds in their prime.

Remember the first rule of the Dragon Club. Also, I like my Dragons, so let's hope PGI continues not-reading the forum and their algorithm never catches on.

The Dragon 5N is OP... Is that what you are saying? Its OP because of its cooldown and other quirks making 3UAC-2s da bomb, right?

Don't worry PGI will diligently "closely follow" this mech as it dominates the playing field and then they, in their infinite wisdom will...

...Nerf the Black Jack 1A and Jagger S because UAC-2 is OP. They wlll probably nerf any clan mech that is capable of carrying a UAC-2 as well because "balance".

Regardless, the Dragon will be left alone or buffed because the Dragon sucks even with its god tier quirks. All of this will be made perfectly clear to you with the inevitable patch quotes where they tell you that the UAC-2s are performing above their "internally established target values of performance"...wholly ignoring the Dragon mind you...that may or may not be overperforming. Trust them. PGI understand the issues and they will address it in their usual way, by nerffing things unrelated to the potential problem or just nerffing everything tangentially related to the problem. It'll be great.

Mauler data MX90

AC-5 dps = 3.628973726230222 (cooldown + fast fire)

2x ac-5 + 4x ac-2 = 19.02265 dps @ 40 tons
3x ac-5 + 3x ac-2 = 19.710429 dps @ 42 tons
3x ac-5 + 2x ac-2 = 16.76925 dps @ 36 tons
5x ac-5 = 18.1448686 dps @ 40 tons
6x ac-2 = 17.3647 dps @ 36 tons

When was DPS a major factor? It sounds great on paper, but honestly, when was the last time you looked at a 'Mech's potential sustained DPS to judge how good it's gonna be?

I believe the 1n had about the same when it was super quirked but skilled people still took it right off.

Over all just like the 1n had it's time if they don't pre nerf it they will nerf it later . Just have fun with it for as long as you can

I'm surprised the vindicator didn't get a armor nerf. It basically has 4sp armor levels.

People aren't wrecking face with it in scouting, I guess. I tried the 1R with STD235 and 5xMPL, it's actually a pretty tough little brawler.

I've always loved my SIB with 2 SRM6A and 3 MPL... but especially now it's rocking. Managed to clear 1K damage and 5 kills with it the other day.

1X is better...triple MG and a ERPPC and Streak2... pretty heat efficient... lots of armor quirks. When we get the bigger streak launchers, the snub nose PPC and heavy MGs it will improve.

Dps ain't everything, i find that a 2xuac2 2xuac10 ngyr works far better than 6xuac2 despite the uac2 boat having 50+% more dps.

Nope... Dps dragon bot is a bad idea. Dragon is easy to hit, one really would like to torso twist.
