Hello! I've read and listened to a few similar suggestions for engine cap increases, so thought I would collate a list of 'mechs that (I feel) should get one.

Light
Locust (All) - 190 to 200 (does this break HSR?)
Commando (All except COM-2D) - 240 to 250 (does this break HSR?)
Spider (Anansi) - 270 to 275
Firestarter (All) - 295 to 300
Raven (RVN-3L) - 295 to 300
Wolfhound (All except WLF-1) - 295 to 300
Wolfhound (WLF-1) - 315 to 325
Osiris (All) - 240 to 250

Medium
Vindicator (VND-1AA) - 295 to 300
Centurion (CN9-D) - 390 to 400
Trebuchet (TBT-3C) - 390 to 400
Kintaro (Golden Boy) - 290 to 300
Uziel (All except UZL-6P) - 390 to 400
Vindicator (All except VND-1AA) - 235 / 250 - 275
Blackjack (BJ-1X) - 295 to 300
Blackjack (All except BJ-1X) - 235 to 275

Heavy
Quickdraw (IV-Four) - 290 to 300
Rifleman (All) - 290 to 300

Assault
Zeus (All) - 390 to 400
Banshee (BNC-3S) - 345 to 350
Nightstar (All except NSR-9FC) - 345 to 350
Stalker (All) - 310 to 325
Awesome (All except AWS-9M, Pretty Baby) - 300 to 325
Highlander (All) - 325 / 330 to 350
Highlander IIC (All) - 325 to 350
Supernova (All) - 325 to 350

For Lights, it's mostly for those sweet, sweet engine Heat Sinks. Those poor, slot starved IS Lights.

Please vote for which 'mechs you think should get an engine cap buff, if any. You can choose more than one.

Stalkers to 325 cap would get my vote.

Most of the mechs that need cap increases are the ones that fallen through the cracks.

Mediums: BJ, Vindicator (the sub-250 engine variants)
Assaults: Awesomes (the 300 engine variants), Stalker, Highlander and Highlander IIC (325 is not enough for XL)

That's all I can think off the top of my head for now.

What would you increase them to?
250 for the VND and CN9 BJ, sure, but what about the Assaults? 325 for the AWS? 350 for the rest? 350 for them all?

So, a 350 cap?


Personally?

Vindicator+BJs should cap @ 275/280.

Awesomes should cap @ 325/350.

Highlander (and the IIC) should cap @ 350.

How about lowering too high engine caps, instead of buffing the unlucky ones?

You try to sell that idea to players that bought MADIIC, MCII, BLR, BNC etc... and see how fast you will be buried in hate comments.

IMO There us nothing harmful for a mech such as Stalker to get 325, as the mech is already seldom used.

I think blackjack, stalker, highlander and iic, and supernova needs this.

With speed tweak yes it would break the game.

All max 400. Go from there. Sheesh it's what everyone wants and engine desinc keeps it limited to straight forward motion. Add hard points or quirks to pretty baby and other varients who's claim to claim was raw engine size.

I would like to say the Vindicator. But that's not really the problem. It needs a smaller engine just to get enough tonnage to fill it's hard points with effective weapons.

Pre clan energy nerf if agree. Post? No... No no no. Clans only advantage now is range ( and not by much) so now we have to play the kite game to stay in that limited range. If you make IS that much faster then you might as well give clan some buffs and restrict FP dropdecks to 225 tone where we can only bring fast meds..
