It's no accident that this is happening now. With the new COMP mode, they need these to be available for C-bills or NO ONE would be able to use them in that mode at all. Or any of those omni pods either, if memory serves.

Founders, Storm packs, etc. etc. when they're released for MC or c-bills it's time pack up, loyalty mechs should have stayed exactly that, LOYATY MECHS.

No one cared about the Cataphract 3L until it put on the MASC.

Timing is all about the new comp-mode and the next world championship. To use mechs they must be available for c-bills, thus PGI released the loyalty varients for c-bills now so they can be used this season.

I checked the 2016 loyalty thread, it simply said mechs would be released at a future date; not specifically a year.

What do you mean "Time to pack up"? The mechs don't suddenly become worse.
And why should others be unable to gain access to mech variants that have unique attributes like ECM, Masc, JJ's, and so on? Less exclusivity is healthy for the game, and it doesn't hurt you in ANY way, this is some "my toys and my toys only" mentality.

And the notion that they are "Loyalty" mechs, what makes one player more "Loyal" than another?
