As the title says, I am seriously asking if they do..

I Do not expect any reply as they don't even read their own emails.

Judging by how often my joke posts are quickly being realized, I'm starting to think that people who demanded I stop were right about PGI reading their own forums. Especially now that we have a new Balance Master, Chris, who actually takes about 5 minutes out of his day to read these forums - as opposed to his Twitter being spammed by an angry mob armed with their phones.

Russ said the forums are to negative so he doesn't read them anymore. :) He might show up if someone posts a link and ask for him to look at it.

Russ needs his safe space of twitter where he can easily ban people as soon as they disagree with him.

Of course they read the forums....
However the concequences are either:

- The provided feedback or proposal are totally ignored, or
- The exact opposite is enacted in the game.

Maybe we can get russ to switch to facebook. That 140 character limit really puts a damper on a persons intended message.

Well, in my case I am either just ignoring it for certain mechs or going cookie-cutter for others.

i have better and more fun things to do ... like creating a macro to turn those K-9 sirens in to toggles.

Would you be upset if one of them posted a one-word reply of "Yes"?

I'd laugh. If they did. Or if you were upset. Possibly both, but there would be laughs.

Mark Nicholson does at least. And I have proof of it.

Spoiler

But in all seriousness, they don't post that often, but recently it seems like they've been reading the forums more recently. Sure, I wish there was a bit more communication, but PGI has never been super great on that front, and I've come to terms with that.

They most certainly do read the forums. They just aren't terribly motivated to engage with you their filthy pain in the a$$ customers. They will step in to occasionally address outright falsehoods. (See: https://mwomercs.com...ost__p__5794323 ) Post patch they will step in to put out fires base on errors or whatever else they inadvertently broke and the community is in a rage about (see: https://mwomercs.com...ost__p__5793125 ). Russ himself has even been known to step in and deny associations between the bad conduct of IGP of yester year vs the professional an upright conduct of PGI today. But under no circumstances will they give you the satisfaction of explaining, expounding upon or deigning to make you understand their current changes to the game, their secret/hidden goals for its future, or their Machiavellian schemes for its development. No how no way. They monitor such questions and take note of our quaint hypothesizing of what we think are the answers. They are aware. They just choose not to answer...because perhaps they too do not know.

Yea. Ive seen them respond to a lot of threads over the years.

I have no idea why they do, I think its a good idea to ignore this area for the most part because its just toxic and always has been. Which is unfortunate because every once in a while you get some genuinely well thought out balancing suggestions and feedback, but its drowned in a sea of self centered feedback.

By no means should this be considered white knighting, Ive been mocking PGI's glacial 'progress' for years. I just think during their 12 hour work weeks looking here is time misspent.

You are not seriously asking if they do, otherwise you wouldn't have made the second statement.

Since moderation has already happened in this thread (answering the OP's question), all I'm going to say (again) is that it's not cool for a CEO to hide from his own forum and make himself available to be influenced on a third party platform some of his customers might not patronize or might want to keep separate from their completely unrelated gaming habits. Twitter may be free but it should not be required when an official forum exists. I've seen other games' CEOs hide from their forum, which is bad enough, but they didn't then set up a backchannel for only 'some' of their customers to use and ignore the ones using official channels.
