so theres an xp conversion thing going on. my question is, why? i have 3 quarters of a million gxp sitting there without a thing to do.

my question is it just transfering the old xp to new xp? or are they seriously expecting us to convert mech xp to gxp with mc for the rewards because its not very clear which it is. answered

lol giving us a token cbill reward for spending mc no thanks.

GXP was far more valuable back in the day thanks to the piloting "skills" which unlocked modules and such. Now all you use it for is to buy skills for mechs you don't have mech XP for.

So for instance, if you want your shiny new mech to have maximum skills now instead of having to grind it up, you use GXP. If you don't have GXP, you can spend MC to convert excess XP from your already mastered mechs to GXP for use on other mechs.

Unless you've got a bunch of GSP sitting around. You use those first.

its converting mech xp to gxp. which can be used to buy sp for any mech (cbills not included) or to reactivate previously deactivated nodes.

all my mechs were mastered so any that i wanted to keep have already been fully respected with their hsp. im using hxp/xp to respec nodes but in saving the gsp for new mechs. meaning i can start enjoying them right away rather than grind for days and grow sick of them. gxp doesnt really serve any purpose for me at all right now. its the most abundant yet least useful resource.

I'm pretty much the same way. I've still got over 8K GSP sitting around from the module refund.

The GXP conversion sale isn't aimed at players like us. It's intended for newer players who aren't sitting on thousands of GSP. In fact, none of the Resistance stuff on sale appeals to me at all since I already have bought all the Resistance packs, and that's okay.

At odd as it would be for me to spend MC to convert...the 100 MC level is actually kinda worth it. You get 4 supply cache keys (worth 100 MC). It's easy to get that 100 MC back if you are willing to only open caches with a good shot at 50 MC.

Even the 500 and 1000 MC levels are good deals if you want those cockpit items. The warhorn and Molotov Cocktail items cost 750 and 500 MC respectively, and you get even more supply keys.

still up to my eyeballs in keys from previous events, i got 41 of them, and it seems im only getting a cache every week or so. and i sell most of them because they dont have anything i want of anything i have a chance of winning.

GXP seems to be useless now. The only thing you can use it for (?) is buying skill points or re-activate skills.

But if you do both of that, in 99% you are actively playing with that mech. So you have a steady Mech XP income for that mech. And as that mech-xp fills up 10 times faster thatn your GXP you use that first because it would be a "waste" to use the precious GXP.

And so you end um with 800k GXP and no use for it anymore...

They don't make those things for old players sitting on mountains of whatever they're promoting. They're for new players to the game. If whatever sale doesn't appeal/apply to you.... just don't say anything. Go on about your day. PGI doesn't have to hold your hand all the time you know because you suffer entitlement syndrome.

i can still laugh at pgi's decisions. kill a currency then immediatly after do a promotion to convert a more useful and more abundant currency into it. also what new players lol.

I was surprised they did not remove GXP and sell GSP for MC instead.
