Is that they give such a poor visceral experience.

And a teeny tiny itsy bitsy little beam juts out of my hand.

It's almost tongue-in-cheek, how weak they feel in use.

I'm not talking about balance or anything, just talking aesthetics and the feedback they give you when using them.

I've always liked the weapon, honestly. Just wanted to see what other people think about it, and how it feels using it (no I don't want opinions about balance or numbers or meta etc).

The color is red though. Not that pink. Clan Heavy Small Laser might feel more impressive.

I personally wouldn't know how IS SL feels like, cause it is such garbage I never mounted it on any of my bought mechs during the entirety of my MWO history.

Yeah it's a... can we call it a fuchsia? And yeah I imagine heavies will have a bit more oomph to them.

As far as IS SL, I don't know either.

You could try playing with your monitor/driver brightness and color saturation or RGB settings. For me brighter it is, more pink while darker is red.
