I wanted to give everybody out there a general shoutout and say thanks to all of you for helping me improve as a player. I just had the best weekend of drops since I started playing! And all of you have helped in some way, whether you shared your build with me, gave me some advice in comms, or yes, even stomped my mech into the dirt.

The highlight of my weekend was when I did 524 pts in damage, got 7 KAs, and 5 components destroyedin my Bushwacker X1(S). To some those numbers may not be that impressive, but I am damn proud of that match. I feel like I'm finally getting the hang of skirmishing in this game! I still fall back into the habit of trying to slug it out with an Atlas in my Arrow, every now and then, but other than that, everything's Jake!

I have also met a lot of pretty cool units who have been more than kind in inviting me along for some team play. Thank you all for putting up with my learning curve, and occasional bit of friendly fire (SORRY!).

This community is more fun than a barrel full of otters on LSD.

See you on the battlefield!

Keep learning - I've been at this for a year and a half, and still have a lot to learn. Joining a team is a good play too.

Glad you're having fun. The bushie is a pretty good mech to start out with, tanky with a lot of load out options. My fav at the moment is the P2; standard armour frees up more slots for ballistic load outs. 2xAC10 is fun as is 1xAC20. You can play around with engine size in order to round out your load out.

Good hunting,

Glad to hear you are enjoying the Bushie, I myself am a big fan of her and she has become my ride of choice in MWO, as for builds for her, this is the one that I tend to use, with the skill tree that I use with it:

BSW-X2

The big thing I can recommend with her, is small wiggles when facing the Red Team, as doing small wiggles with the mouse will let you spread damage very well across torso, also try to avoid getting flanked with the Bushwacker, as that is usually how I die. I also have my FoV (Field of View) backed off so I can take advantage of the side windows on the Bushwacker to reduce the amount of flanking I receive.
