The light active probe is supposed to take up a slot like any other piece of equipment. Not sure why it should be different here at all.

It doesn't. That description is wrong. On PTS, it takes up 1 slot and weighs 0.5 tons.

Thanks for clarifying. I haven't been on the PTS, and I'm not sure I will have time to considering I'm participating in the Summer Heat challenge.
