Thus far, it doesn't appear that IS Targeting computers are affecting ER Lasers.

TEST PLATFORM: CP-11-P
* 1 ER Small Laser
* 1 ER Medium Laser
* 1 ER Large Laser
* 1 Large Laser
* TC VIII

I have no skills in the Fire Power skill tree.

MECHLAB RANGES (+10% energy range Quirk for chassis):
* ER Small Laser - 200 (+20.01) / 400 (+40.01)
* ER Medium Laser - 360 (+36.01) / 720 (+72.01)
* ER Large Laser - 675 (+67.51) / 1350 (+135.01)
* Large Laser - 450 (+45.01) / 900 (+90.01)

IN-GAME RANGES:
* ER Small Laser - 220
* ER Medium Laser - 396
* ER Large Laser - 742
* Large Laser - 495

There's no "increased Laser Range" stat in the tooltip in the Mechlab nor in the patch notes, so I'm uncertain as to what the increase should be.

Yea, the description of TC does not show any laser range boost.
But a TC8 gives 38% projectile speed.
PPC, AC and Gauss are crazy fast with that + Skill Tree + Quirks.
Not sure if it affects missiles, but that would be nice difference between Clan (Laser+Ballistics) and IS (Missiles+Ballistics)

I think thats intentional, the test notes don't show it, too.

No sense in buying one then though.

Also noted that TC dosn't seam to affect the other PPC types like the heavy, light and Snub.
I think it would just be logical that it should affect these.

Beam Range Boost was removed from Targeting Computers altogether for BOTH sides. That's why you don't see it on your IS TComp. Clans don't have it either anymore.

Nice stealth nerf PGI.

Yes don't find a laser range boost on the PTS side but projectile speed is still there but dosn't seam to count for all PPCs.

Confirmed. First, the crit chances were lowered months ago. Now, beam range increases are gone. It seems a bit odd to do this now that both sides are getting TCs unless it is because of the ST and the range quirks that many IS Mechs have. That pretty much makes the sensor boost the only thing worth having if you are not running Gauss/PPC. I guess, if this stands, I will pull the TC from all my laser Mechs for an extra heatsink.

Guess I need to get rid of the comp5 in my dire and put in 2HS while running with 3tons unused on the field.

I have one TC left for some Zoom Boost, but unless you're using TComp4 or higher, there's no point beyond that anymore.
