they "Deviate" from the norm.
Smurfy's website is automatic, and in some cases it doesn't know whether or not something is actually positive. For example if the torso yaw is different from the rest, regadless of good or bad, it shows as red.
Sometimes negative quirks show as green. There isn't a genuinely good reason beyond at one point in time "negative" numbers such as cool down and heat gen are good things and positive numbers on those regards are bad things. And thus negative numbers showed as green and positive numbers showed as red.
Sadly quirks aren't that simple.

Do you think the MAD-IIC-8 has better numbers then say a MAD-IIC-A or MAD-IIC-C?

I don't know, I barely pay attention to them anymore. T hey might as well be changing every five minutes.
Lemme check.
Strangely, short of the engine rating, everything is superior to the baseline MAD IICs.
However, everything also "Deviates" from the norm which is why they are red.
Side note: For actual quirks, it appears Smurfy's currently in the "-" is red, "+" is green setup, regardless of what the quirk is.
If a baseline stat deviates from the norm, it's red.
This is regardless of if it is better or not worse.
Side note:
Javelin mobility stats are INSANE!
O_O
Nevermind, saw the Locust...
....the hell is with these numbers?
Oh well. Guess that explains the Locust in this video, first 'match' (after the skill tree)

Things like Cooldown where inverted to negative value = positive effect where before it was positive value = positive effect.
This is a case where the third party site was more then likely unaware of this change, and as a result, it is displaying the quirk value as a negative value instead of a positive one.

Smurfy says...
Torso Yaw speed: 296 °/sec
MAD 8: Torso Yaw speed: 318 °/sec
Torso Pitch speed: 185 °/sec
Mad 8 Torso Pitch speed: 199 °/sec
When you then look at Javelin and Locust, where the speeds are several THOUSAND degrees per second....
Yeah. I think there might be a bug on Smurfy.
An acceleration of 66,786.44 ....whatever the unit of measurement is, sounds insane especially before you start throwing in kinetic burst skills.
What's 15% faster than instant?
Heh.

So the lesson here is, look in the in game store to get the true story.

Marauder IIC, no model has quirks in the sense game calls them. I was slightly confused of the remark of quirks.
Looking at smurfy, it does correctly mention that the Marauder IIC-D has lower max engine rating. The mobility numbers of each mech can be seen in mechlab, if they are different, then Smurfys way of showing them is okay I guess.
Li Song Mechlab hasn't been unfortunately updated much so it doesn't understand current game files and it will use old values.
