Hey PGI can you clarify the heat scaling and linked groups for all the Clan Heavy and micro lasers..

Its just a little odd trying to get a handle on how Heavy lasers fit into the heat scaling.. The in game tool tip warning doesnt seem to have been updated for heavy or micro lasers..

this leaves us wondering what kind of treatment they get in the ghost heat system.. are HML's linked to mediums And smalls in the same number? can the same thing hold true in the Large line as well? Are heavys linked to other heavys by any chance? Wheres the micro line in all this?

Can someone up there give us the rundown on whats linked to what and how many can be fired before heat scaling triggers?


And my opinion on Heavy LL
Heavy LL's appear to get ghost when more than 2 are used.. but heres the deal, should it be after 3? they take up 3 slots and run hotter than IS LL's, not to mention a really long cooldown.. most mechs arent even gonna handle running 2 of these let alone 3 with all the sinks needed to back them up..

without ghost heat 3 HLL would prolly put out the same amount of heat of 5 IS LLs with ghost heat.. at roughly the same damage with like double the cooldown and god knows what for duration.. Lets rethink the ghost heat on them please..
