I noticed yesterday when messing with stealth armor that it actually would reduce your (the mech with stealth armor on and active) sensor range. So I decided to test it.

Used ASN hero Mech: "Dark Death".
No skills:
Sensor range using stealth armor, no additional tech: 200m
Sensor range using stealth armor, Targeting Comp III: 208m
Sensor range using stealth armor, BAP: 250m
Full sensor skill tree:
Sensor range using stealth armor, no additional tech: 269m
Sensor range using stealth armor, Targeting Comp III: 275m
Sensor range using stealth armor, BAP: 320

Just some numbers for you. Kinda wish stealth armor didn't do that.

Apparently it also jams IFF and you get shot by your own team also...

Combine those drawbacks with its even distribution of slots among the limbs and torsos and I just cant imagine running this on anything but a handful of light mechs.

I heard some explonation that it makes your mech completely blank to send out any signals. So it makes sense it runs on passive sensors in that mode.

It also explains the lack of IFF.
