I added a targeting computer MK VIII to a mech with ER Large Lasers on it, and the max range listed on the weapons group control screen on testing grounds was the same as before I added it.

In the targeting comp description it says it increases projectile speed; laser range; ect.

If laser range is increased it should be showing it in your weapons group ranges.

The XML files show both faction TC's boosting laser range, but in-game there is no effect. PGI seems to have some kind of override disabling that feature.
