Ok, so I've been working towards completing the challenges in Summer Blast and took a break for some liquid refreshments. When I returned and reloaded the status window I was stunned that I still had to complete the 'Heavy Duty Challenge.' As Maxwell Smart used to say "Missed it by THAT much'

Not sure if the picture is going to be here, FYI, the Progress bar says 1,996 of 2,000
Is it possible to get any closer??

No worries, I know I have time. When I finished the prior battle I thought I had enough points to complete the challenge. So it was a bit of a shock to be 4 points shy. Falls into that 'why me' category. Gotta get used to the notion that Mr. Murphy is just really fond of me.

What drives me totally insane is when you complete something BEFORE the clock is done but the match ends AFTER the clock is done and lose 1.5 million! c-bills over 180 seconds of play time, I roared down a hill in my Yen-Lo, mashed my fire buttons and tore the hell out of a Stalker to complete Accuracy Challenge 1, and I didn't get the achieve.

It makes me sad. I thought that was what you were posting about.

You still have 2 hours to complete Heavy Duty.

Yes, but that challenge requires 5 challenges out of 7. So you can miss two of the eligble challenges and still get the mech.

Was away for a week without internet access on my laptop - when I got back yesterday and eventually logged into MWO realised I had less than 1 hour to do both yesterday's events. Got the Assassination one but fell short on Heavy Duty (got to just over 1000) - if I had logged in an hour earlier (or had better matches) would have done it (but RL comes 1st).

Ah well, never really wanted a Battlemaster anyway...

My internet provider failed me over Wednesday, so two events down and no time on Thu, so number 3 down the drain. I have no idea if I wanted a Battlemaster or not, but I liked the other goodies there too.

I also have a few unopened boxes lying around, so missing out on those keys was bit of a bummer.

Excrement eventuated!

Same here. It was late so I didn't bother checking my score after a hour, needed the sleep.

Now the Kapow event has some sort of bug, good thing the last event runs for two days.

Kapow Event Challenge is just on a delay for scoring. Just give it time, okay?

I borked my understanding of timezones and realised I still had a shot (ha) at the Kapow in the end. Secured that one and the two following challanges, I still won a Battlemaster (plus the other goodies).

I named it Canuck, gave it the flag and used the colours to give it a Canuckistan-ish paintjob. No idea what to kit it out with, but it's mine.
