It's a shame. I love the urbanmech. ECM seems like a logical thing to put on one.

I've played several games with a stealth locust (almost invisible) and had a lot of success with my 11P cyclops with it. It's difficult to suss out quite how it works in tech terms form me, but it is really satisfying to hide in such a big mech.

I really would like an IS mech with ECM + ballistic hardpoint spam, even if they were all on one comp like the urby. I want to try HMG + SA suicide backstabber combo.

PGI needs to remove stealth from ecm

only stealth armor should grant stealth

then stealth armor would have a purpose

Then what would the purpose of ECM be? Right now the ECM reduces radar range when acquiring just the ECM protected mechs, and increases the time it takes to lock missiles, it doesn't grant 'stealth'.

A bit late because of modules and skill tree precedent, but ECM should have been the only thing that really provided Radar Derp. Increase lock time and ability to instantly drop lock when breaking LOS on the equipped mech and, perhaps, friendlies within a certain range. Then the introduction of SA would have brought the new mechanic of being untargetable even in the open. But that can of worms was opened way back when ECM was first introduced and now there is no going back, I suppose.

I own two PB's one with stealth, one witout.

I've found that stealth works better on a LL build and without works better with standard equip.

(4sl 2mg/lmg)

On the contrary I run stealth on a Tempest with MRMs. Extremely funny to be walking around slowly and not getting noticed.

I saw some lights with stealth that were almost invisible, bluring with the background.
Aiming at them was difficult because they vanished ona distance greater than 75 m.

Now I used it on my medium and it seems to me I dont get invisible at all.
Even on 750m itook shots with aktivated stealth.

Does stealth make lights invisible but larger mechs not?
Or are there grafik tweaks that make it now working?
