I've been noticing that my chat boxes sometimes disappear when I log on, it's been doing this for at least a week, and it's starting to bother me as I like to read the chat sometimes. Does anyone know a solution to this problem?

not just when I log on...

joined a group, ran a match... group chat box gone. no way that I could see to get it back.
unit chat happens... sometimes...
direct message chats disappear, but keep their history if i try to send a new message.

I have a suggestion regarding the chat system in game... instead of lumping all of the chats into one continuously flashing spot, give each of the main chats ( unit, faction, etc... ) their own spot on the bottom of the screen beside the chat bubble, and leave the personal chats in the chat bubble itself... this way something that could be considered important won't be ignored...

Another thing is that the old bug of checking the map while in a match is stopping movement again, as is trying to type in chat sometimes. Any ideas why this bug is back?

they disappear, when you log on ? what were they doing before you logged on ? were they, the same level of not active ?

fact is, the in game chat has always been trash, and it hasn't gotten any better over time ... if you stop moving, when you start typing, we call that throttle decay, or some junk ...

Galenthor, you should have the majority of the movement keys active while you've got the battlegrid open, if its not working properly, I'd suggest deleting the YOUR attributes.xml file, which will force a default one to be loaded and then you can reset it up from there .... the flash HUD shows a different context but the most keys should still map the same ... and as for prioritizing them, wht one person might consider important, another might not care about ... and under current states, if they separated it more, youd probably just see more bugs ....

because of the way the chat system syncs, if your occasionally missing a packet, that could be your problem there ...
