Im a fan of the

Linebacker : http://mwo.smurfy-ne...07b198c51b05d07

Hellbringer : http://mwo.smurfy-ne...4967068e9db6c04

I have them setup pretty much the same but you can play them slightly differently due to their differing speeds and the fact that hellbringer has ecm.

I know this is an older thread, but it is a timeless subject.

Heavies' speed advantage over assaults is not trivial. You have the firepower to be a game-changer, and the speed and maneuverability to not get ganked by a light. Dakka/SRM is a tough combo since it uses a lot of weight and both are ammo dependent. Struggling to think of any heavies off the top of my head that really mix autocannons and SRMs well. Orion maybe? You can run them very similar to a brawler Atlas.

The Orion IIC, 4srm6 LB20x ermedlasx2 with XL360 and 33/35 survival skill might be exactly what you are looking for, when I play it properly, it is by far the most fun mech I have played.

Within the last three weeks I have acquired the Mastery Bundles for the Thunderbolts, Catapults, Cataphracts, and Orions as well as the Standard Pack for Linebackers + the Hero Omnimech. I also have the Black Widow Warhammer Hero mech and the Orion 'll-C Hero Clan Mech.

I am currently building up the Hero Mechs/Omnis to raise a war chest.

The Orion Protector,Orion ll-C Skoll,Catapult Jester,Cataphract Hero mech,Black Widow Warhammer are all great to play.

To the OP hope this helps.
