I have opened every single supply cache I have ever received since they came out and haven't got a mech or decal. I wonder how many supply caches that is. It's a F*ckload. Can you make the drop rate just SLIGHTLY less asinine please?

I don't mind them, I open all of them. I have won 2 mechs out of them. Gimick yeah. Should you pay for them? No I think they should be free to open.

Random is random. The drop rate and Mechs could be quite high, and you'd still have players who've opened zounds and never gotten one.

Of course, I'd prefer the drop rate to be higher, but even if you never get a mech, the MC:Cbill conversion via opening supply crates is about the best way to convert MC to cbills.

Put another way, sell all the junk you get, then just buy the mech you want.

I don't open the crates for potential mechs. I open them for potential MC, and MC only items.

I think the prizes are OK.

My only slight complaint is that the keys to open them are premium/real-money content. Granted it's a very small amount of MC per key, but it's a big difference in principle.

If they were totally free to open, people might be more positive about them. Just a "YAY free stuff!", without reservations.

The only other f2p multiplayer game I play is World of Warhips, but in that game the supply crates (different name, same thing^) are free to open.

I pretend they are achievements .. when ever i get one in game i tell my self. its a reward for a job well done .

I got a mechbay and 50 MC back to back the other day

in general though, eh. They're basically a trap for people with more money than sense, but if those people like watching the roulette wheel that much then more power to'em. I just look at the ones I occasionally get from winning games as a small bonus.

Got yesterday. I agree, they're ******* stupid. Mechs shouldn't even be in the packs, and the ultra rare stuff should be more common. The 1b is a garbage mech to start with.

I only open ones with mechs, because the prize there is a mech (cbills) and a mechbay.

everyone is entitled to their opinion. if you think they are stupid, that's up to you.

my take is that they are awarded for free (unless you actually bought some...)

many keys are also awarded free from 'events' that PGI puts on.

No one forces you to 'unlock' the cashe(s) you receive. if you think they are stupid or whatever just sell them for 50k -cbills and move along.

If you decide to unlock (that's up to you) and you don't like the 'prize' you get, sell it (some exceptions you cant sell) and move along.

Again, no one forces you to unlock the cache and it was a random award you got for playing the game, so you are only out a few minutes of your time, no mc, no c-bills, just time.

The annoying part about them, aside from only giving me the light blue (worst) item every time, is that it still plays the "yay you won" music after spitting you in the face. It should play some sad music, or some "you got trolled" music.

I only open them when I also get a free key. The chances are not 1/8 for each item, the junk stuff is way more likely.

I feel similar. I got like 18 caches from the last event and plenty of free jeys to open them with. Had about 5 caches with mechs in them and full of rare and super rare items along with ONE common item.... I bet you can guess which item I got from each one of those.... I was rather salty after opening all this caches.

I wish they would have just increased the MC from the start so they could have gave away better stuff than lrm10s

I like them. They are an easy 50,000 c-bill bonus on top of whatever you made in a match. Some times you get junk but it is nice when you get some thing you normally don't like a day of pt or some mc. You just have to avoid being one that must open them all and spend money for the keys. Wait til you get free keys from events and get free stuff. Best use of the crates is to horde them then sell them all for a new mech or engine for a mech.

El Bandito knows that the mech prizes come with MC mechbays, but he is too polite to say he has a zillion mechbays and doesn't need more!

i've opened about 150 now.. got over 25m worth of crap.. + almost 15 days worth of premium.. which i've used to grind a ton of games.. I've earned enough in free mech bays to cover the charge..


I really don't know how this is a bad deal
