Duplicate Mech's -Skills

*This is a second post on this subject - did not know the appropriate forum to use.

I have a couple of 'duplicate' mechs (ie: just won a second battlemaster 1G).
It was my understanding that if you 'mastered' one chassis type, all identical chassis (like my 1G) would automatically inherit the mech skills???
Why is this not happening?

The old system they did, the new one they don't. Each mech is individually leveled now.

basicly this allows you to setup 2 of a specific varient for 2 diferant roles.

if you owned multiple before the new skill tree the great refund would have included double the SP to allow you to skill both to an equivelent position to where they were on the old tree, so if a varient was fully mastered and you had 2 you got 181 skill points on that varient (of course that is not the case if you purchased since the new skill tree went in).
