The Anni portion was shot at actual speed.

I'm a bit frustrated we didn't get cockpit footage, but damn those Mad Cat MK II legs are sexy.

And I'm glad that the Cougar pulls off the Heavy Fighter look I always saw it as.

Hmm...

Me'thinks someone new is doing animations... The stride and bounce are perfect on these mechs without looking exaggerated! Posted Image

Kudos out to whichever artist did these.

Really didn't get that impression.
The Uziel looks a little stiff compared to how it was always presented in the other games.

The anni looks like its going to have 4 high mounted ballistics. Almost same height as the KDKs.
I mean it still has that giraffe neck so you gotta scoot up a bit higher to hill hump, but with some practice it might work.

A little worried about the Uziel now though, those side torsos are very large, and with it being XL dependent Posted ImagePosted Image

Uziel definitely will require LFE to function well. Good thing Cougar has CXL, cause its STs are gonna be just as easy to hit.

Overall the hitboxes were within my expectations. Looking forward to my MCII.

Now that I think about it, MWO Uziel's arms are slightly smaller than old arts.

Arms of the Mad Cat MKII seems to be a fail for me. Too short, with the gauss rifle barrel sticking out too long. Jesus **** man.

Holy balls that thing is tall, prepare to be shot in the side of the head over 60% of the cover points in the game, and prepare also to get stuck in several locations where the roof is too short :D

Other than that, it's actually a pretty cool design style, if that is the cockpit way up there on top of the head, then its a risky shot to even try for, and probably too high for some to even try target at close range.

From the sides, the arms expose just enough torso section to temp people to shoot there, but the exposure is small enough that they can miss some duration of the lasers. I am fine with that. Posted Image

Only question remains is the CT/ST hitbox split. Eagerly waiting for Tamerline to show them

I don't think the periscope will be an issue. It might even be a benefit. People aiming high for a much smaller target are far more likely to dump laser tics in all that negative space to the sides, or miss entirely. Plus, all that height means that I will always be able to look down my nose disdainfully at my enemies, while I fill them with dakka.

Plus, the hitboxes look... awesome. Tall and skinny, and oddly shaped - far better than square and squat, on mechs like the Awesome, Warhawk and Dire.

Here, I did a quick and dirty mock up of the proportion differences between the Atlas and the Anni:

Anni are you ok? Are you ok Anni?

Yes... I think you may very well be. I'M EXCITED.

Yeah that was my first thought. I mean your going to be able to do a LFE just fine but your going to have to give up a bit of firepower or speed to do it. Also when those torsos go, and they will be going quite often, your losing half your firepower and getting a fairly stiff penalty to boot. Hate to say it but this one might actually be DOA.

Maybe down in tier4-5 . In youre tier one the periscope on a slow mech is going to be really bad. People blow the sides off ebon like crazy if you put a small weapon box on the top. This mech is going almost 50% slower.

I hope they let it have 4xac10 because if not its doa.

Should have said all 4 at once without ghostheat Posted Image If it has some crazy firepower like 4uac10 then even a junk hitbox isn't going to stop it haha

It is possible that the outmost torsos will count as arm hits and the parts where the laser hardpoints are, those two pillars will be ST.

But if the whole thing is ST...this is going to suck.
