I will preface this by saying right off... I admit it's petty......BUT

What is up with the "Over/Under" CT Medium Lasers on the potbelly, when there are those glaring hardpoints slots at the collarbone just BEGGING for the lasers?

Overall, while there is something a little off on the head, and I really wish the arms were kicked out like the early preview, I have to say the Anni is probably the best rendered of the Civil War Mechs, overall. But IDK... the lasers really bug me.

seems fine to me

the real problem remains the arm ballistics being too low

The collarbone slots get used for the ST lasers on the 1P.

Yes. I can read. Doesn't mean it makes a damn bit of sense. Or looks good.

I suspect even the neck has part ST, part CT, that way players can still spread damage as they crest hills.

I'm not good at judging how fast the torso yaw is in practice from the numbers, but it's going to have to be fairly quick for the above to be a usable feature.

BTW, the ANH-1P actually has some strong potential meta status. It will be the only IS Assault that can mount one ballistic and one energy in each side torso, making it also the only IS assault that can strip both arms to maximize weight for 2x Gauss + 2x PPC on an LFE. And in one unexpectedly ironic twist, it doesn't expose that much of a target to fire. Less material than a KDK-3 would be showing, I think.

I did not at all see that coming.

Small problem with that -- the ballistics are all arm mounted.

Ha! And so they are.

Kind of disappointed at that...

Wow complain about everything.

It does make sense- the ANH is slow as hell and would need good hardpoints to survive with a 52kph max speed. We might actually get some good hardpoints and you're complaining about how they hardpoints look.

The Annihilator is the apex of ugly mechs anyways.

because having on e of it's energy hardpoint in it's ******* belly button will help it survive.

******* brilliant, that.

I agree. But instead, I'd prefer PGI go the opposite direction by cosmetically removing those googly eyed slots. That way they don't show for variants without ST lasers, but the 1P's brace of ST lasers can remain where they are now.

Then, I'd follow that up with raising the second CT mount so that it is level with the ST ballistic mounts, just under the current CT mount for maximum torso poke for all variants.

id say just model / Texture some Vents to cover them, so they arnt as much of an Eye sore,
(much like the Veins on the lower Stalker Torso when you dont have energy weapons in your STs)

That would be an easier band-aid, sure, and is more likely to happen, knowing PGI and all. But it would still look weird, and unnecessary considering the ST vents that already exist in the neck.

Either way, we'll all have to see whether PGI has room in their artist pipelines for civil war mech cosmetic surgery in the upcoming months considering they still have to do weapon remodels for the rest of the non-resistance mechs.

Am I the only one bothered by 6.19 acceleration rate? No mech should be that slow.

I'm just glad they decided NOT to do the chicken-wing arms. Like the look of it. But I ageee about the laser placement. That over/under thing for two CT lasers isn't too cool.
