It seems like alot of tonnage until you actually try to work with it. Also why would you mount 3 x AC/10s when you could mount 2 x Heavy PPC for the same pinpoint damage. I mean 2 x Heavy PPC plus 6 extra DHS to keep them cool equals about the same weight and critical slot requirement a only 2 x AC/10s and this is before taking ammo weight into account. That leaves an extra AC/10 worth of weight and crits for something else plus with 55.5 tons, you should be able to mount quite a bit of other things.

I don't know, I think I would be more inclined to mount the Hvy PPCs and supplement them with a couple UAC/5 and/or some ER MLs than go 3 x AC/10.

#1 PGI has made a few errors in their patch notes recently and with the Civil War mech countdown.
#2 PGI doesn't always word things in an unambiguous manner... much like this sentence Posted Image

Those 4 ballistics cannot all be AC10s though, since they are 7 slots. 4 AC10s will have 2 low mounted in the arms.. and the only viable way to run 4 UAC10s would be with an XL and no Endo (because LFE+Endo is 24 slots, leaving it with only room for 3 tons of ammo)

The builds im considering running on it are

3xUAC10, HPPC, LFE300, Endo, 6 tons of ammo, 12 DHS
5xUAC5, STD300, Endo, 10 tons of ammo
6xAC5, LFE300, Endo, 7 tons of ammo, 12 DHS

Cant think of any other interesting builds tbh. Its full on Ballistics or go home, no one wants to run an energy or missile mech with a tiny engine.

I've ran 3x ac 10s on the lyla. It's fun but i like ac 5 and 20 better.

It's actually nonsense to have a heat penalty at all on AC10s.

One mech can run it, and it's going to be insanely slow with low mounts relative to cockpit. It should be able to do it's one special trick that still won't be competitive without being punished for it. It's only 40 damage too, not much compared to what some othe chassis already do.

My turret is quite effective, thank you... (when I am lucky).

XL 255, 3 AC/10, and 6.5 tons ammo I think (not in game right now). It gets by only because of the AC/10 ammo buff.

Yeah I can just outrun the Annihilator in a slow arse Supernova and pick it off with ERLs.

You actually could say the same thing about the KDK-3. I mean there was really only ONE mech that could run that full dakka build as well and honestly only one variant if you really get right down to it. Look what happened there, PGI nerfed UACs, all UACs and all mechs that used UACs, just to correct one build on one mech.
